Is socialism a stepping stone to communism

Ezra Taft Benson Quotes Nikita Khrushchev.
In 1959 Eisenhower asked Ezra Taft Benson to teach Nikita Khrushchev about Agriculture.
Ezra relayed a conversation……

“Your children will live under communism.” Khrushchev said.
“On the contrary,” Secretary Benson replied, “My grandchildren will live in freedom as I hope that all people will.”
Khrushchev then retorted: “You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept Communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you will finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy, until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”

Socialism is the standard of the civilized world, while communism has all but disappeared.
Even the People's Republic of China isn't actually communist anymore, despite retaining the authoritarian aspects of it.

People love to throw around scary words without understanding what they mean.

Socialism does not exist. We label countries that provide healthcare and help to their citizens as socialist. They are industrial nations and the people go to work as we do. They sell goods internationally. Ever hear of Ikea, Volvo. or Electrolux? Do your kids play with Lego? I find a better and fairer distribution of the wealth is a good thing. No labels needed.

Socialism DOES exist, and its other name is "the public sector."
People are afraid of a perfectly good but scary word that they don't understand.
We have the least socialism of any developed nation, but we still have social security, medicare, and an entire public sector, and all of them are socialism, plain and simple..

One of our big failings as a society is that we don't demand that our citizens learn to be articulate.
Instead we come up with new stupid words that don't offend inarticulate people, and our national IQ continues to plummet.
That's how orange shit stains wind up in the Oval Office.

O I know what it means , I also know what it can led to.

Oh, honey. Your meth addiction is yet again on full display.

Literally none of that is socialism, no matter how tightly you clench your tiny fists white in impotent rage, no can you demonstrate that it is.

I wish you'd post here when you weren't cumdrunk from blowing your own father.

Again: name the socialism that Obama 'fed us'.

You can't.

That's because you're a whore and your mommy is too.

What's it like? Being such a pussy?

I notice you still haven't backed up your claim.

Hope you get that hawt M2M buttseks that you're clearly begging for.

Nope, you don't. I guess you love oligopoly. You want the wealth to be concentrated in the top 1 percent. Money =power. You fear the people on the bottom are after your personal, super-duper hard-earned money. It is not them who you should fear. It is those on top whose greed can not be sated. They want more and more. Our wealth gap is worse than it was during the Gilded age. That is what we are being led to by Trump and the Repubs.

Socialism exists in communist countries---they would not be communist without a socialist economic system.

I agree that no European nations are socialist because the healthcare systems and most major industries are privately owned.

Tell me about it. This forum is full of people throwing scary words around like commie, nazi, totalitarian, racist, bigot, cheater, etc. Neither sides seems to hold a monopoly on purity.

Why would I want all the wealth to belong to only 1 percent of the population ?
As for loving oligopoly thats totally silly , I believe in a free market system as all conservatives do.

What do you base these outrages claims on , I assume you know me correct.

Perhaps I can tell you a bit about my self that will help you face the truth a bit more.

I grew up on farms, in ky Ohio and WV . at a very young age I recall working in tobacco fields in KY helping with the live stock carrying in coal for heat of the winter and Im talking very young perhaps 5 years old.
most of my early life I experienced more then my share of hard physical labor , we had plenty to eat but cash was not in surplus.
I got my first job at 16 cutting grass with a push mower in a grave yard, my next job was for athe township where I dug graves by hand and of the winter shoveled small gravel and salt out the back of a large truck to spread on the road way of the winter , I never made it past the 9th grade because I had to work when my grandmother who raised me go sick . We needed cash for medical bills.

What do you base that silly claim on?,
First I am not wealthy , far from it.
I do not believe people should be overly taxed , and I support the fair tax for all peoples personal income because it is fair.

I do believe be you wealthy or poor or middle class you always want more regardless, and that the path way to having more is to earn more not have it taken from others and given to you as is the socialist and commie way.

There will always be a gap between the poor and wealthy , its because they earn more daaaaa.
They earn more because they worked had and developed a business or someone in their family tree did and passed their wealth down to them.
Thats basic economics.
We have some socialist programs to help people who are poor and or have made bad decisions in life already .
Taking money from people who earned it and giving it to those who have not is the answer to poverty it is not the answer is education hard work and developing marketable skills.

I don't think Socialism is a stepping stone to its more virulent and authoritarian cousin, Communism. What I do think Socialism is, is a sure path to mediocrity, nepotism, and economic ruin.

If I have to spell it out for you; a fruitcake is a dolt, similar to what you are.

Yes, that thing is definitely nuttier than a fruitcake. But it so desperately wants attention! Ask her for her fruitcake recipe! Do it! Is that so much to ask?

Remember this quote?

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.” ― Lyndon B. Johnson
