Japan building their first aircraft carriers since WW 2

Twisted history, pimp. The Jews invaded Lebanon. It took a while to remove them- but Hezbollah succeeded.

Israel HAS TO EXPAND- or die. It is a small state - easily occupied. Unfortunately for the Zionists their plan for the annexation of Palestine has hit the buffers- thanks to Hamas and Hezbollah, both resistance groups against Zionist terrorism.
Good. A war to the death is very old school but effective.

Japan is in the process, with US help, of converting the Izumo and Kaga, two of their helicopter "destroyers" into full fledged aircraft carriers here in the US.

When the conversion is completed, they can operate F-35 fighters much as US amphibious assault ships do now. The first will be the Kaga that is in San Diego for conversion right now

Looking at the short straight deck on this carrier, it must be for for vertical takeoff F-35 fighters?!!

The Japanese are going with something similar to the America class LHA's as far as flight deck capacity goes. That would mean they're going to do VTOL and STOL type aircraft operations with the F-35. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they, or Korea, upped the ante and built an intermediate size 'real' aircraft carrier in the next decade or so.

I am not shocked at all that the guy with a routinely 20 years out of date does not know that carriers are out of date, are useless in modern war.

The Navy just used 12 of their most advanced and expensive anti missile missiles and hit nothing....carriers have no survivability anywhere near operations....and the air refueling needed to operate far outside of the theater of operations also have no survivability.

They are museum pieces, relics of a bygone age.

One vote to surrender to the Chinese and the Russians.

Why are they building aircraft carriers, #10?

No, they're not. The Navy hit targets with those Standards, I defy you to produce a credible source that says otherwise. That same missile has shot down numerous Houthi ASM's. A carrier's air wing can control the ocean around it to easily a 300-mile radius.

No carrier group can defend against a non-ballistic trajectory missile. Japan knows this yet they have no other choice but continue to grease the palm of empire.

Not only did the SM-3 completely fail this time, they also failed the one other time they were used in combat earlier this year...had they succeeded we surely would have been told...there would have been bragging:

DITTO for these 12....had they hit something there would be bragging, and at least three people on my grapevine have said that they hit nothing.

They are captured, they do as they are told, and the morons who run Americas military are never going to understand that the age of the carrier is over until a few are sunk or otherwise disabled in combat....someone on my grapevine was just recently talking about how little it takes to completely disable the flight deck.

I need to watch What's Happening in Shipping tonight so I can get up to speed. Last I heard US choose your pronoun sailors were demanding to go home.

Two days ago was talking about New Zealand putting a Navy ship on a reef, and sinking it.....a story that looks sketchy as Hell. I saw on X speculation that a DIE hire Captain was the problem.

Sure they can. Ships have defended against anti-ship missiles successfully and that process has gotten better. In fact, it is the opposite that's the bigger problem. That is, targeting. To do so you have to get a sensor platform close enough to detect and track the target.

There is nothing in that article that indicates the missiles were unsuccessful.

Russia has a missile approaching mach 11, that's 8000 mph. Anti-ship missiles can't lock on, so a carrier won't even know what hit them as they sink.

Biden and his zionist donors want us to believe that Russia is bluffing. Fuck around and find out. I'm pretty sure the pentagon will be forced to stand down.

Scott Ritter said Japan is refitting its 1940 carrier to protect Tiawan from China.

Has anyone seen the size of China's weaponized fishing fleet? It's the largest navy on the water.
