Right, so what do you think a doctor, who is motivated by profit, is going to do when it comes to determining the cost to the patient for the services provided?
Are they going to charge the patient as much as they can in order to achieve the highest possible profit motive?
What happens if the doctor charges more than the patient can afford after treating the patient?
You want a system where you pay upfront for your health care before you even know what treatments and procedures you need?
When you get health care now, when does the bill come? Does it come before or after the service?

For some reason, you think you should go broke getting health care, and I can't figure out why you think that.
But the government wouldn't do that because it's not motivated by profit.
The only reason a claim is denied is because it costs the insurance company profit if it isn't.
The problem is that individual spending on health care doesn't work, so there needs to be a payer who can cover the cost of a checkup all the way up through the costs of an organ transplant or chemo.
Then why are you defending them?
You want the profit motive out of health care, but you also DON'T want the profit motive out of health care.

Wouldn't it just be easier if everyone was on the same insurance plan and providers were reimbursed from that large pool of premiums paid by payroll taxes, instead of from myriad smaller pools that increase premium costs??
