John Edwards

How do you rate me as a poster?

I think I have the Romney campaign on the run btw. You guys think I"m joking, but I suspect he might have a personal stylist on payroll. I am getting a big run around there. I have been having a lot of fun talking to these fools.
Why would it matter for him? Has he decided to make poverty the central focus of his campaign while bleeding money from every pore?

I'm willing to bet that an 80 dollar haircut is every bit as good as a 400 dollar haircut....

:D

This is hilarious, keep it up Darla. I'll bet you can get an article on it published. Then people will be talking all about hair rather than policy...

Let's make it a study of the media and the population. How much energy can we waste on such an inanity? I'll bet you'd get paid pretty good for the column...

Lol...

Mine cost $9. But I'd be willing to concede that somebody who pays $80 may have gotten a better cut than mine. I think that anything after that is basically a huge-ass tip.

No way Jose...unless they throw in a steak and Lobster dinner..then maybe I say maybe...:p

The price of haircuts have been an issue for; John Kerry, Bill Clinton, and John Edwards.

To my knowledge no one has turned this on the Republicans. You can laugh at it all you want, but as long as it's being used to hurt Democrats by mocking them, you can turn that gun around. And to pretend for one minute that Republicans don't pretend to be the party of the average Joe, is a lie. And average Joes don't pay very much for their haircuts, don't get manicures, and don't have personal stylists.

Don't worry I'm probably not going to publish anything on it, I'm just a girl having some fun. Which as usualy, you, are trying to spoil. You've never liked seeing me have a good time Damo.

To clarify, I don't blame Edwards (or anyone else) who can afford for paying that type of money. The way candidates are scrutinized by the media you better look your best. I just had the whole 'street cred' thing on my mind with typing the post.

I wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing at the whole issue entirely. I think it speaks volumes about our society...

As I said, I heartily suggest you continue. I'd love to see how far it goes. I'd be willing to bet you will get paid well if you can get an article together about it.

Well, I'd have to get a straight answer from the Romney people in order to do that though. They will not release where he gets it cut, and won't even straight out answer what it costs, just emailed me a Boston Globe story where Mitt was asked where he gets it cut and for how much. But, he did not answer them either about where.

That's why I think he's got a personal stylist.

Did he answer what it cost?

Also, you don't really need a straight answer, an article on the run-around you get could get published in certain places as well.

I did ask them why they wouldn't say where, and asked if they were trying to hide his manicures? (with a wink, but I was joking on the square as they say)I also specified how easy I got an answer from Huckabee and told them where he gets his hair cut. So I am waiting for their answer to that.

They quoted him, in the article as saying 50 bucks. His press person wouldn't say on the phone, he said he'd have to "get his fingers on that exact info" and never said in the email either. He just forwarded me that story. But no one will verify that number. And no one has ever said where he is getting these "50 dollar' haircuts.

It's ok Cawacko, you gave me some good ideas on how to torture the republican candidates' press secretaries. And I haven't even started on McCain or Rudy yet. Actually, impossible to get a phone number for the Rudy campaign. He's the only one, where it's not possible. And I mean, it's not even listed in Manhattan information, no less on his website.

I see it disignenuous to attribute it to a study on poverty, then backtrack yet still have one of his worshippers believing it was part of that study that even the candidate no longer claims it was.

He now says, "It shouldn't overshadow my work on poverty..."

You say, "It was, It really was!"

Seriously, dude. Take a breath. Even Edwards isn't trying to make this claim anymore. I found it worrying that he thought so little of americans that we would eat that up. I see he wasn't that far off the mark.

This is reminiscent of Dixie claiming WMD were in Iraq after even Bush had stated that there weren't.

1) I dont see where he ever said it was a part of his study of poverty.

2) Even if he did say it, It seems reasonable to me.

3) Bush learned a lot about selling oil when he ran an oil company.

My Take...

Any fool who pays more than $8.50 for a hair cut...needs serious counseling..maybe a little on the egotistical side...like a hair cut will improve ones looks...ya are what ya are... deal with it...or be ripped off...lol

Umm they are all up to $9 here now BB.

Of course one of my ladies cuts it for free...well I work off the payment :)

I don't even know where you could get a haircut for $8.50.

Yet, we don't ask those who run oil companies how to end poverty. Hmmm...

It's all good, I gave another link that even mentioned the AP interview and gave you a quote, but you clearly ignored it. That's good too. Now I know the lengths you will go to protect what you seem to worship. Even to the extent where the candidate himself realized the mistake and backtracked on it but you refuse to see it.

What happened to the reasonable person that I used to know? Again, it is Dixie-esque to go on promoting the idea even after the candidate has realized the reasoning was inadequate.

As I said, let's start asking all the people who run hedge funds how to solve poverty, they have done it far longer than Edwards they must have all the good ideas....
