You cite where the president said people should voluntarily donate money to the treasury!cite where said they should only "involuntarily" pay taxes.

Yes, and he is asking others to do what he will not commit to himself. There is where the hypocrisy lies.
You cite where the president said people should voluntarily donate money to the treasury!
Now THAT is a shite analogy.
You're a really dopey person, Yurt.
A tax, by definition, is required otherwise it's called a donation.he didn't say one way or the other. i've already stated that. it is you liberals who proclaim he only meant involuntary. you can't back up your claim. he simply said he should pay more taxes. he never said only if the government makes me.

Sure, but it's not tax then it's a contribution!nope...you don't have to take the deductions etc....there is no law compelling to have a lower effective tax rate. taking deductions is optional.
yeah...really good come back. what intelligence on display. the teacher and CIC analogy is golden. they both tell others what to do, but they are not expected to do exactly what they tell others to do and they can still lead by example. your logic is this: a president can't lead the troops by his professional example unless he cleans the latrines, sits in foxholes, etc....pure nonsense. i know this is very hard for you to understand, but, perhaps if you tried just a little bit harder you might be able to grasp it.
Damo's words, Yurtsie - it's about asking others to do something which you do not do. That's all it is. Has nothing to do w/ the "CIC" red herring.
You and Damo brought that up because you know you cornered yourselves. At least he had the good sense to bail - you just look like a fool...

YupContribution as in charity?

you tried to claim that bush should take a musket to iraq if we expect obama to pay more taxes. thank you for finally admitting your CIC "analogy" (read not an analogy at all) is nothing but a red herring. you brought it up, not me. seriously, now you will resort lies because you cornered yourself in a indefensible position and will falsely claim it was really the other person's position. lol.
I didn't bring up the CIC analogy.
You're really an idiot.
Damo, just repeating "childlike" isn't doing much for you. Just an FYI there.
Actually, my musket analogy was the equivalent - because individual action in that case would be just as empty symbolically and ineffective as Obama paying more taxes himself. That's where the whole collective action thing comes in.
With your NATO analogy, an equivalent might be if Obama was trying to get a group of people in his bracket to voluntarily pay more, but didn't himself.
Stay on point.

The amazing thing is this stupid OP got 273 responses and over a thousand views. I think this is a pretty strong indictment of just how bored we are.
