I have that same pet peeve with left turners at lights. People would be smart to pay attention to their surroundings. Not all people are smart. Even so, smart people can have "stupid moments".

Yep.. A few miles south of me there is a double roundabout & many are not use to it..

They both have on/off freeway, different directions, & both have merging traffic & cars & large trucks attempting ingress/egress in short distances..

There are accidents almost weekly.....

Yep, in the example I gave that is great most of the day, clearly the added space between vehicles gives folks time to figure out & negotiate it if they are unfamiliar..

The opposite is true during high volume commutes (traffic moves quicker as there are not delays @ traffic lights) & most of the trouble is w/ those unfamiliar w/ the layout & where they need to be/which lane by the end of the circle........

It's great in a sports car when going straight through because you can use the whole width of the road and turn a 15 mph maneuver into a 30 mph one.

Great point, as I have seen ppl slow & even stop if the car wanting to enter is aggressive or creeping into the lane..

I think that you are discussing a multi-lane roundabout. Those of course are huge, like 300 feet or more across in the center. The roundabouts here are more like 20', and one lane.

Yes, we have smaller ones like that in neighborhoods & smaller intersections..

The angry one is you, not me. You get angry at other people driving differently than you. You attempt to stop it by "pulling the Lefty"... That attempt to control my life (and create havoc) is where I begin to become unhappy. Otherwise, I am the happiest person on the highway, rocking out to uptempo music of some sort...

Here is post 114 where you indicate that your left lane usage is based upon the speed limit and not common sense. This is how lefties create a wake of energy waste as traffic backs up behind them.

Turn left,you have to use the left lane. That is when I use it. I am not making driving a combat zone. I have no reason to piss off rightys. They walk around mostly pissed off anyway. They will tailgate and speed along, lane hopping. They endanger all.
