I am simply remembering a request from him about something. You're the only person making what I said seem like I big deal.
I may as well just write everything down in big flashing letters now.

For what? I just reminded you of a request. Don't get all overexcited and make such a big deal out of it.Then delete our posts.
only heterosexuals should get married, it's the law.
You shouldn't do any drugs when not harming someone else, it's the law.
Mexican border jumpers shouldn't come here, it's the law.
the point is just because something is a law does not equate to it necessarily being acceptable. Surely you have better reasons to pay taxes other than just saying "it's the law."

He's saying that just because somebody says, "It's the law" does not mean that the law is always Just or even right. Are you keeping up?
I've never said I had any problems paying taxes .. didn't you read "and you should" after my comment?

What does standing around a bank with a loaded gun have to do with this conversation?I'm saying that paying taxes is not only the law, but it's right, just, and it makes good sense .. and I'm saying that standing around a bank with a loaded gun doesn't make sense irrespective of what the law says.
What does standing around a bank with a loaded gun have to do with this conversation?
Did I miss a post where somebody insisted it was a fantastic idea to stand around banks with guns?
Well, I missed that one too. But all is good. Taxation is not a foregone conclusion. Taxation without representation = Bad. Not all tax is good, not all tax is bad. The best taxation system is one that allows the government to the least amount of unneeded information into your personal life, ie Consumption taxes...Oopps, my bad.
I was thinking of a different conversation.
However, I still maintain .. in spite of the brain fart .. that paying taxes is a good idea and the right thing to do.
I sell unapproved, uninspected coffee grinders. It's a dangerous business.
I live on the edge.
