Stone got this story from the Alt Right Big Ass Book of Things That Never Happened, and probably never will happen.
Sunny Hostin's husband Emmanuel Hostin has not been arrested. He is not charged with any crimes. He is not under any known government investigation for any crimes.
Obviously, Sunny Hostin will not go "down hard" for something that her husband is not even being accused of.
What is happening? An insurance company is going bankrupt, and a group of lawyers has gotten the right to sue random defendants from that insurance company cheap. They decided that several hundred doctors have provided too expensive of care, and are suing those doctors. Note, none of the patients are complaining about Dr. Hostin's standard of care. But these lawyers are complaining that the standard of care was too expensive, and that cheaper treatments could have been used.
It appears to be a lawsuit trying to get the doctors' insurance companies to just pay some money rather than wasting money defending it. That it has gone this far means that it will probably fail.
But what if Dr. Hostin, and his other few hundred defendants, lose their case? Does that mean that his wife goes to prison? No, it means that his medical malpractice insurance company owes the other lawyers some money. The money does not even come out of Dr. Hostin's pocket, much less his wife's pocket. Her husband could be looking at higher premiums, but that is just a maybe at this point.
