‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’: Black national anthem will be performed at Super Bowl LV

Maybe when he grows up his comprehemsion skills will improve.

I don't know how many adult beverages were surrounding your Super Bowl, but you were a blubbering mess yesterday. The entire posting history is available to see. Don't lecture about "comprehension" when you can't remember what you posted 5 minutes ago.

That is certainly true. I think that large segment knew to keep their racism to themselves until their furher decided to make his public. I think that is the only thing that caused so many to worship such an asshole.

Bingo. And then they took the concept of "woke" and turned it into a pejorative. So now when someone posts the n-word and others rightfully call them out on it, they scream WOKE as though they're being deprived of some essential right to be a racist asshat.

The good news is that you are less of a fucking moron than Tranny Dicks Are Kewl.

The bad news is that you are one of the worst trolls on JPP. Sad.

I'll call you dishonest. There are countless people on here that despise one another due to their political leanings but not many like you that have right wingers as well as someone like me who is as liberal as the day is long that think you are an asshole, congratulations.

Calling me dishonest doesn't make me so. In fact, there is a zero percent chance you can prove me to be dishonest because I'm not.

You didn't think I am an asshole until yesterday. Why? Because I called you out for calling Mahomes a mulatto and saying that people should stop calling him Black. It's not a terribly liberal position of yours, but even it it were, I would still tell you to stop it. No one who was born in the last 40 years says the word mulatto, and you do not get to tell an NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion what color he's allowed to call himself. I checked your white privilege because white privilege needs to be checked whether it's exhibited by conservatives, liberals, lizards, or plants.

So, in conclusion, I don't care if you think I'm an asshole or not. What I do know is that it's your kneejerk reaction to me calling you out for your shitty behavior.

Celebrating differences does not divide us. People like you divide us. You demand that every single American continue to bow down to white, Christian culture in the ways that you made us for centuries -- with every manner of evil compulsion, including violence. Now that your numbers are dwindling and most of you are approaching death, we realize that we can resist. I respect the American flag. I respect "The Star-Spangled Banner". I also respect the Progress Pride flag. I also respect the Black national anthem. That doesn't divide us until you use it to divide us. Be better.

Good post.

I find it interesting that those who cry about the divisiveness of a "black national anthem" or other things that belong to a subset of Americans don't bat an eye at celebrating *other* ethnic groups' stuff. Mardi Gras, Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick's Day, Oktoberfest, etc. have no RWers whining about them not being American enough. Why aren't THOSE considered divisive?

The origin of terms isn't that important, as the Right hijacks and twists them to fit their agenda.
The moment anyone uses the term 'woke', my ears shut down and I'm done listening.

When Aaron Rodgers used the term in his anti vax tirade, I went from being a fan to hoping he gets his ass kicked every Sunday.

Which is exactly what happened.

Same for me. As soon as Rodgers went all MAGA dumbass and started parroting FoKKKs like the JPP morons I lost all respect for him. In fact, I hope he gets traded to the Raiders. Because I'm a Broncos fan.

It's a fucking football game that has got more nationalistic then the 4th of July!
I don't think that is a good thing.

It’d be a better post if he actually lived by those words.

Racist fuckwits aside, I fail to see why anyone would have a legitimate problem with the opening ceremony of the Super Bowl. Lots of songs were sung including a great rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner by Chris Stapleton. It’s the Trumpers who are divisive, not the songs or the singers.

I don’t think it will “trigger” anyone, in fact, most won’t even notice. Often wonder how many people actually watch the half time show.

If you have ever been at one of those big TV sporting events where they have a special TV entertainment component you’ll notice nearly everyone at the event other than a few located right infront of the stage know or even care what is going on. All orchestrated for TV
She sang it before the National Anthem and it’s triggered lots of racists.

It triggered Lauren Boebert and a bunch of other racists. They’re all having conniptions on Twitter.

Mmmmm Hmmmm......

Is that what people have DEVOLVED into? Who can trigger who... If so,....no wonder the Chinese are flying whatever they feel like with no regard or respect for anyone. Bunch of childish little kids!

Good question. Maybe white American people just like to appropriate French, Mexican, Irish, and German celebrations so they have an unnecessary excuse to get drunk. Maybe those holidays just passed popular muster at a time when sensitivities were lower. As we know, conservatives are lazy and would rather not correct past poor decisions. In fact, they resist it. I think that's why some (not all) of them are grumpy/sad that the Black national anthem got a stage at the Super Bowl. Maybe it's just reactionary and whatever their media told them to feel. I really don't know, but I do know that adding 2.5 minutes to a 12+ hour broadcast didn't hurt anyone -- except for some of their feelings.

The Chinese POINT AND LAUGH at old Joe and the rest of our country everyday,....and rightfully so. This is what the left and their absurd way of thinking has brought down on us. Someday the Chinese will have you idiot lefties standing in front of a ditch until it all goes black. USEFUL IDIOTS indeed.....:palm:
