Correct. In fact, the entire idea of a pardon is an admission of guilt. I think Trump is stupid enough to give a pardon to his kids and convince Pence to give him one.

Trump has returned to rouse the troops for Jan 6th. There is another American institution he hasn't destroyed yet. He can chalk off the reading if the electoral vote now. It is ceremonial. But it is all he has left. He is terrified of answering for his crimes, like tax evasion and obstruction. Without the protections of the presidency, he will be exposed as the thief in chief he is.
