The problem is other presidents understood the damage they could do to the country and the constitution by misusing the powers for self-benefit. The house and senate are in a quandary now. They realize how badly powers can be abused. The founders thought we would vote for honorable men. Trump was not expected. So do we see Daffy as an aberration, or do we rewrite parts of the Constitution to prevent such blatant abuse by others like him? If we take Trump out in cuffs, the repercussions would not be so bad. If Trump gets away with his sell dealing, we could have even more trouble in the future. We could get a guy like Trump in, who is smart.
