In the medical and legal world that is the same thing as assigned. Sometimes the delivering doc or the neonatal doc notices an anomaly. Then a DNA test is done to determine gender. On rare occasions the parents must decide, based on genetic analysis, whether they want their child to be assigned male or assigned female, given the nature of the chromosomal anomaly(ies). This isn't Lib claptrap." It is medical and scientific fact.

Actually, surprise! you're wrong. It can be anyone from any country with ancestors who came from Spain or Portugal. The majority of people in Central and S. America are of Hispanic origin. Those in the W. Hemisphere sometimes prefer "Latino/a" to distinguish from people in Europe/the Old World with HIspanic ancestry. Latin = Latin America.

Having Hispanic g-parents does not excuse your racist comments past, present, and future.
