Why do you think BANNING guns will prevent determined criminals from getting them?

Because it did just that in Japan. Not only that, but most guns that criminals have they are not using at any given moment. If you ban all guns, you can arrest anyone who is caught with a gun.

I think banning all guns might be a step too far, but some gun control, like Australia, Canada, or Switzerland, would greatly reduce the number of deaths. And draconian gun control, like in Japan, would really reduce them... But we also hurt hunting and other reasonable things. Lets just be like Australia, Canada, or Switzerland.
