Last year was the first year that most colleges didn't use SAT scores as one of the deciding factors in admissions...because of COVID, they couldn't administer many tests.

Now we're seeing we don't even need the SAT.

If you can get to my polling station before me...but you'd need to know what my polling station is, my address, and my full name, and commit this in-person voter fraud before I've had the chance to vote myself.

How would you know any of that? Seems like there's way more risk for you to try and pull this off.

If you went to impersonate me at the polls and were caught, I'd press every single charge I could think of against you and then sue you in civil court too. I would ruin your life, all because you tried to prove a stupid point.

Do you think people should have to pass an IQ, sanity and education test to vote?

Correct. Most voter fraud is from a relative. Take Bullshitbob for example; if he's locked up in a dementia ward, wouldn't his son or a friend know all of the information you listed?

How could you press charges if you're in a mental ward or incapacitated in bed?
 
back to thread. Mental illness is a factor in gun shootings and killings. There are others. If a person wants an AR, he has to be crazy and should be refused. The only people who should get them are people who do not want them.

All I see is someone too chicken to say why they oppose Medicare for All, while at the same time crying crocodile tears over suicidal and depressed people.

We hear all the time that 37K people are killed with gun violence each year. What isn't quoted much is two thirds of them are suicides . I submit to you people that kill themselves are mentally ill and are so depressed they can't see the way out. So yes gun violence is frequently related to mental illness. In fact its related to mental illness the majority of the time.

You know, something like that was attempted in this last election, and the perpetrator of that fraud was caught, and not because of Voter ID:

OK.

So if it's linked to mental illness, we must evaluate every single gun owner then, right? Because you can't tell someone is mentally ill just by looking at them.

If a mentally ill person is undiagnosed, there's nothing to warn the seller that person might be a danger to themselves or others. An undiagnosed mental illness will not turn up in a background check.

The only way it will is if that person is evaluated by a doctor.

So by saying mental illness is to blame, you're also saying that you think every gun owner should be tested to determine if they are mentally ill and thus, shouldn't own a gun.
