Then you're not a "law abiding gun owner", so stop calling yourself one.
not all laws are constitutional. this is something you should be familiar with considering your distaste of voter ID laws
Then you're not a "law abiding gun owner", so stop calling yourself one.
Only if you can't pass either.
Just looked up its "history" and nothing I found is consistent with anything you've been saying here about how you aren't a "law abiding, responsible gun owner".
It's bizarre that Dutch thinks he has an argument when he's the one who doesn't believe health care is a right.
nobody has a right to the services or products of another individual
If you don't think health care is a right, then you can't argue that mentally ill people are to blame for gun violence, even a little bit of it.
Every single gun nut says they are well trained, super careful about guns, and are responsible. Just once I want to hear one say, I just have loaded guns lying around and keep losing them. Because every shooting quickly gets replaced by another one. Kids get killed every day. Accidental shootings happen regularly. Thieves steal guns. https://nyagv.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Accidental-Shootings-NYAGV.pdf In 2010 there were 606 deaths by accidental shootings. 2 percent of those were done by kids under 6. You are far more likely to be shot in your home accidentally than ever by a crook. Guns make your home less safe.
Yes, you very easily can by mandating every gun owner and gun buyer has to first go to a doctor to get medical permission in order to get a gun.
That's how you stop mentally ill people from getting them.
Why couldn't you have done that search yourself?
Why did you need me to do it for you?
How are you being controlled?
Are you afraid you won't pass a mental health evaluation?
Everyone is a law abiding gun owner until the moment they aren't...and that's not an acceptable standard.
Then why do you want to supply criminals with guns?
If I do this, cause I've posted that link before, what do I get from you in return?
Cuz I'm not doing that work for nothing.
They won't know that by my address and name that I give them?
That is the best voting reform plan that I've ever heard.
Right, but that translates to 35,000+ annual deaths, or 30 9/11's, or 8,750 Benghazis.
Well, to drive a car I have to pass multiple tests,
I have to get a license, I have to register the car,
I have to get insurance for me and any other driver of the car, I have to renew my license, and I need to get the car inspected every year.
So...you want to do all that for guns too? If so, I'm down.
Why do you keep asking this question, LV?
How does a gun get to the black market? By being stolen.
Guns don't "fall of a truck" and into the hands of common criminals. Sure, there are weapons traffickers, but the common criminal isn't a weapons trafficker.
So HALF of all guns used by criminals are acquired illegally, and 100% of all guns used by criminals were first sold legally to responsible gun owners.
