Hip does seem to think a recession means teh sky is falling though?

Should we tell him iwhat it really is?
 
except that there is no negative gdp forcasted. Usually to have an alert there needs to be something coming.

its possible. but my data shows that in new england the housing market is leveling.. and also that its only accounts for about 1% of GDP. Also I am seeing resistance in the currency devaluation... think we are close to bottom.. and mortgage rates are dropping rapidly.

Doesn't seem likely for recession to me.

A lot of I-banks and universities put out forecasts each year. Some forcasts are correct and many are not. There is also the conflict of interest issue with some I-banks where they push a particular economic view because it promotes sales of offerings they hold.

sorry guys the market is crashing big time...get over it already...we are way overdue for a depression...it will happen soon!
