Morgan Stanley is issuing a recession alert

I'm not surprised by deshtard and the recessionista's.
I am surprised that super coldcaller says 70% after a 5% gdp quarter.
But then hes reading charts now prob a weaji board when he gets home.
Here's a clue to keep you out of the band Deshtard and the recessionista's.
100,000 jobs a month doesn not equal recession.

Spinster.... read what I wrote. I did not say we were IN a recession. I said that I believe we have a good chance of GOING INTO a recession. Go back and demand your money back.... that MBA you have is obviously worthless.

GDP numbers are backward looking, not forward and are typically revised twice before we see the actual performance.

Yes, I do perform technical charting to go along with fundamental analysis... most professionals do.

100,000 jobs is NOW, not what will be occuring next year. If you cannot understand the difference, please go back to your undergrad school and demand that money back as well.

I think recession is 50/50. I'm in the Mortgage Markets, short term notes to be exact and I've seen all the fraud and foreclosures and think it could leak over and we'll have a mild recession. No depression at all.

anybody who knows jack shit about the economy isn't saying 70% chance of recession you cold caller robber of little old ladies.

such a witty response topper. Glad to see you putting that MBA to work.

You are quite wrong in your assesment on the predictions of recession. There are numerous predictions that vary widely. The reason is that we are not sure how the Fed and government will act.

But please, post the last quarters GDP number again.... it makes me laugh at your so-called "economic knowledge". Stick to what you know, oil and tech. Leave the economics to those who know what they are talking about and whom are capable of explaining their positions.

Also, seriously man, get that money back.

dude what kind of shit degree did you get that you have to cold call.
Again list a recession that followed a 5% qtr. MORON
you've been added to the band Deshtard and the recessionista's and your the first degreed member.

they actually got sig lower after the last jobs report, but that's one of many numbers you don't follow. LOFL

Wow, again with the childish crap.

Recessions are NOT based on what happened in the previous quarter toppy. It is based on what happens going forward. The fact that exports had a huge surge off of the declining dollar does not change what is going on in the financial sector. It also does not show the effect of a continuing decline in purchase power on consumer spending. It also does not show the effects of a continuing tightening in lending standards. Nor does it reflect additional delinquincies on credit card loans, car loans etc....

It adds up toppy. So you can chirp all you want about the 4.8%, but don't be shocked when the truck hits you. Because it is coming at you from the front while you look to the rear.

You really are a tool. Again, no one is saying a recession will start this quarter. Which means your idiotic foot stomping about someone showing you a recession starting after 5% growth is nothing more than childish. But if it will shut you up, then take a look at GDP growth in 1973.... over 5%.... 1974 and 1975... both negative growth.

Or if you prefer quarterly data.... take a look back at 2nd quarter 2000. GDP at 6.4%. Recession followed.

OK mr coldcaller again you can't even thing about it happening cause it hasn't, now you show me a gdp qtr at under 2% and then you might have a +50% chance of recession.
I sure hope you don't point to charts, and this other bs when you cold call all those blue haired old ladies to steal their money.

I cold call for my own business, which is just freelancing, but I am going to S-corp it next year...and it's paid off for me. It's really no big deal. I do it on the phone and via email. But I call to get the right person's name and email address, so that I can personally address it, and it's not spam.

Laugh all you want, as I said I'm going to be buying and selling you next year, but I might not sell you after I buy you, I might keep you as a pet!
