Now the president controls utility prices? Mine were $140 last summer and the same this summer.
You're going to try to deny Biden's executive orders again?

I always found an element of irony that we talk so much about our democracy yet act like the President is a dictator who has total control over everything that happens.
OMFG.
You just revealed how ignorant you are.
Your AC only runs until the temperature your thermostat is set at is reached, then it shuts off. If it runs constantly when the temperature is 100 outside then it can't maintain 75 when the temperature is 115. This is simple heat transfer. Does your AC work as well if you open all your windows?
6300 ft is NOT 'thin air'! Aircraft flying at that altitude don't even need to pressurize the cabin. People around here (the PNW) call that a 'hill'. You guys don't have real mountains like we do! People around here often JOG up a hill like that!
SE Texas. Current temp is 97 at 11:30 am. I live in a newer home with an efficient AC and insulation. My previous home it was about $250. I'm surprised it is so low. Also, Texas has doubled its solar capacity from last year.
I have solar on my house, but it's a 30 year old home. When the solar was installed, part of the cost was better roof insulation and a solar-powered fan drawing out the attic heat. My last bill was $167. I expect the next bill will be a little over $200.
I have friends who have solar and have no bill. They say they would never own an electric car.
Tell that to the FAA! They will groundstop all take-offs when the Temperature starts exceeding 110 degrees, well, on certain aircrafts. But on Southwestern Airlines Jets and most of American Airline jets for sure.
This has happened to me so many times in Arizona, I lost count.
There are safety regulations and warnings they have to follow dumb shit
Nope. It's not. The FAA does not cancel flights, ya dumb lizard. That's up to the airlines. It's based on FAA requirements.
They'll get off the ground just fine. They have poor climbing ability at that temperature though.Certain planes like Bombardiers do not have enough lift to get them off the ground when the Temperature is more than 115 degrees.
No, it is not. ATC will not ground aircraft due to temperature. Airlines do that. Indeed, some airports that airlines use have NO ATC.It is the Air Traffic controllers that actually grounds them from taking off based on what type of plane it is.
Irrelevant. ATC will not ground aircraft due to temperature. Airlines do that. They control the runways.
If a pilot is trying to fly an aircraft beyond it's capabilities, he is BREAKING THE LAW.When a pilot experiences a problem with lift on takeoffs, they will report it back to the control tower.
That depends entirely on the length of runway and the performance characteristics of the aircraft. Some planes today like Airbus and some Boeing 737's can takeoff even if the temperature is 135 degrees. But, they usually won't ever take off over 125 degrees, because of all the weight they have to carry.
Well apparently you are the expert here so I will defer to you.
Not an expert on jets- just an expert of flying as a passenger in them.
And I also know some SW airline pilots as neighbors, and many of the flight attendants by their first names because of all the commuter flights I used to have to fly.
I'm an expert on flight and he's correct. Above certain temps, planes are restricted from flying. There's the aircraft manufacturer limits and the FAA limits. Safety of passengers is priority #1 for all airliners.
Heat has no temperature, Anchovies.
The price per kWh is higher, Anchovies. That is not affected by temperature.
Thank God for small favors.
Comfort and convenience of passengers are certainly not priorities!!!
Extreme heat really only affects small planes, major jetliners are designed to operate in temps up to the high 120's.
Phoenix Sky Harbor airport is prepared for this by having longer runways than most airports.
High heat really only affects the planes ability to take off.
That's all tink does is lie. I doubt they even live in Phoenix but don't possess the ability to check like the mods do.
Temperature, not heat. Heat has no temperature. Temperature also affects their ability to climb. All planes are affected by the high temperature. They are also affected by the humidity (which fortunately is typically low in Phoenix).
Extreme heat and Sky Harbor-- the Phoenix airport...
