Name one thing you agree with the opposing side on.

Hello Robo,

Ignore list are for small minded, closed minded people striving to remain ignorant and fearful of having their verbal ass handed to them by superior intellectual folks!!!!

Total baloney. It is a way to filter what you choose to read. Nobody can keep up with every post in every thread. It is wise to filter some of the garbage out so what you do have the time to read is of higher quality.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

That's no pro tip. That's just petty. If you no longer wish to see a poster's comments the best thing to do is get over caring what they post - about you or anything else. Once you're beyond caring they are done bothering you, powerless over you. At that point you are in total control. There is nothing to be gained in taunting those on your IgList. That's just clinging to the past. Placing somebody on Ignore is the time to leave them and all their negative energy behind and move on. At that moment you transcend to a more refined posting experience.

Taunting other posters is called abuse.

Makes it hard to claim you're the victim when you're dishing it up too.

You have to realize you probably aren't in the right place for that. If you want no personal attacks, or petty things, you need to go to a moderated forum, not JPP. You'll end up with just about everyone on a ban list, and have an echo chamber eventually. We have maybe 50 posters that come here, if that, and I'd say we have a larger number of Conservatives. You have most of them on the ban list already, including a few Democrats.

I'm okay with taunting them, and if they want to think I'm playing victim I sincerely do not give a shit. I'm not really sure how you combined a healthy ignore list and victimhood. Grumpy and his toxic mistress followed me here from a defunct forum where the exact same shit went on, day after day. Eventually even the dullest of morons realizes that you really mean it when you point out that they are on your ignore list, and like you said, cease to bother you. Unfortunately a handful of them will never get it. Grumpy, for instance, thinks that his words are so important and alluring that surely I am peeking at what he says. I'm not, but there's no convincing him of that. So he continues to reply to me, day after day. Sometimes someone will reply to one of his scribbles and I see that it's just another one of his tiresome insulting memes. Some ppl add nothing to this place, and some actively detract from it.

No, but I do support laws that help level the playing field.
I'd be ok with generous social programs only being available to people with jobs.

What do you think of exceptions.... like a stay-at-home mother dumped by her husband, with little to no job experience or skills? What about a laid-off worker in an area where his/her skills are not needed? What about a laid-off worker who applies for a variety of jobs in his/her area, but doesn't get any offers that pay more than whatever unemployment pays? What about a person with various medical/mental issues who has lived at home his/her entire life with parents, but then the parents pass away? What about an elderly person who receives a small amount of social security because he/she never earned much, who loses his/her spouse?

I am quite sure that when we look at social welfare programs as the major problem with our national debt, we are looking exactly where the real culprits who suck up our tax dollars want us to look.

Teabaggers would presumably be quite angry that I received grants to go to college as a full time student. It was a slacker's paradise!

Hahaha... yeah, esp. since you turned out not to be a Reichtard after all that education they "paid" for. I'll be forever grateful to the taxpayers of America --and the small inheritance my dad left me -- for putting myself and my two daughters through college as well. Worst of all -- we all became gainfully employed, and paid into the system to enable other slackers to go to college on our dime(s)! Quelle horror. Socialism definitely is the wrong way to go.

Ha! I almost feel like I the socialism I benefited from as a young man - college grants, public libraries. tax payer subsidized loans, public universities, community colleges, public transportation, et al. - basically just made me more of a believer in Kenyan Marxism. And more willing to have my tax dollars used to benefit other people through socialism, in the same way I benefited.

Maybe there is a kernel of truth to the teabagger complaints that universities indoctrinate students into the seductions of Kenyan-Marxism-Socialism!

Allow me to ask you a serious question:

If you knew for certain that forcing an individual to work on a certain project would mean that the job would take longer; be done with less quality; and cost more...

...would you still think it wise to force that person to work?

Why would you force someone to work if they were not qualified for that particular job? Now you're just being ridiculous....
...everyone who is able should be working if they receive benefits. Do you disagree?
Everyone has skills, knowledge, experience doing something...

Who said anything about being "not qualified" you ignorant fucking cunt?

...everyone who is able should be working if they receive benefits. Do you disagree?

Yes, I do. In fact, requiring that people receiving benefits NOT WORK...would probably make our nation much more productive...and work out better all the way around.

Okay...and if one could get paid for posting ignorant remarks on the Internet...you'd be able to make a fortune.

But so what?

Love it  thanks Frank;)
I know it's early...I didn't mean to confuse you. Won't happen again..you take care....
I'm glad you're here...the real world, our great nation, is a kinder, gentler, safer place because you are;)

Thank you.

By the way...this is the second time you sorta promised to avoid me...and that "it won't happen again."

How many times do you do that before actually sticking with it?
