New plan for Democracy.

Trump is making the same mistake maybe worse than his last time. He is hiring people based on blind loyalty to him without a whiff of experience or knowledge about the agency;s work. Trump had 14 people charged for malfeasance and crimes last time. I think he can better his record of scandals.
Perhaps you should accept the fact that dumb people all over this country understand that there are only two genders, and hiring someone solely based on the color of their skin as opposed to their skill level is a terrible way to run the country.

Sure, you are correct, what we say here has absolutely zero effect out in the real world. But I know you like to watch MSNBC and come post on here what they talk about. You are just reflecting with the liberal base thinks.

And like I said, when you continually insult people, it tends to not get them to do what you want them to do.

And there’s an element of irony to me that you are offended by the idea that anyone would ever question America’s greatness at any time yet you think so little of tens of millions of Americans.
Can you admit that trump continually insulted people and still got elected?

You have a lot of knowledge of why she lost.

She was not roundly rejected 47% of Americans voted for her, that is hardly a significant rejection for a shortened campaign after that disaster of a debate by Biden.
It was a landslide.

The Senate and the House were flipped and the House retained.

Harris and her radical, far left ideology were soundly rejected.

Get over it.

She lost because she’s a woman, don’t make any excuses for America, we are a nation that is misogynistic and bigoted. It’s just that simple. It’s not complicated. Everyone wants to make it complicated.
I read this on Politico and couldn't agree more. It's a really good article.

"Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, like others, said that “any Democrat” would’ve lost Tuesday night because it’s about “something much bigger,” and ruled out sexism as a deciding factor. But others disagreed. Democratic pollster Angie Kuefler, who worked on several abortion rights initiatives in recent years, said Trump “explicitly weaponized gender and purposely tried to activate men in a traditional masculinity-focused way.”

“We don’t want to say it publicly, a woman can’t get elected,” Kuefler said. “But what else are we supposed to take away from this moment? I hope this is unique to women running against Trump.”

There's are tens of millions of Americans who hold vary opinions on why Trump won and Harris lost. But what I find interesting are seeing even black liberals saying just stop with the 'she lost because she's a woman' rhetoric.

For starters, why did Democrats pressure Biden out? Why wasn't Biden, a MAN, not beating Trump? And if you forced Biden out because the goal is to win then why did you pick (not elect, pick) Harris if America hates women so much that one will never be elected?

It's so much easier, and feels so much better, to just claim everyone else is sexist and racist instead of looking in the mirror as to why you lost.
This is the kind of language trump used repeatedly. It is misogynistic to the core. Obviously it resonated with trump supporters or he wouldn't have used it.

"Even as she sought to ignore her gender, Trump looked to exploit it. The former president repeatedly talked about Harris’ physical appearance. He frequently suggested she used sex to rise professionally. When a rally-goer in North Carolina shouted that Harris “worked on a corner,” a crude reference to sex work, Trump responded, “this place is amazing.”

And in the closing days of the campaign, a pro-Trump super PAC, backed by Elon Musk, released an ad calling Harris “a big ole c-word,” labeling her a communist, but an obvious reference to a vulgar and offensive word used to demean women."

Absolute bullshit. Look at the demographics. She was a moron and the people saw right through her.

No question he insulted large numbers of people. It's a big part of the reason I'm shocked he got re-elected. There's only one Trump though. It somehow worked for him but it's not really an approach I believe anyone else could pull off (at least the way he did it).

Look, I get the frustration. I would be lying if I claimed I never said I don't understand why people in San Francisco, and especially Oakland, continue to vote the way they do (and used a harsh term or two to describe the voters).

Politics isn't kumbaya but generally speaking insulting large numbers of people isn't usually a winning strategy.

“We’ve made so many strides with executive female leadership, but what presidents deal with but governors don’t, generally speaking, is national security and the military,” said one Democratic strategist, granted anonymity to discuss the issue candidly. “There was something in the language of what Trump said about Harris being a ‘play toy’ to world leaders … I think that might be a sticking point for us, that internalized misogyny of women not being strong enough in a foreign policy context.”

I have no strategy because I have no goal. I’m a commentator.

I don't think I'm saying anything we don't know but I'll say it anyway.

When it comes to voting we usually have two choices in a race. As some are fond of saying here 'I'd vote for a wet rag before I vote for a member of the other party'. So we have some who will vote for their party regardless. But there are still plenty of people in the country who debate between voting and not voting or are willing to at least consider voting for both candidates.

For those willing to consider voting for both candidates I envision them having a list of some sort (in their mind) of what they like and don't like about each candidate (we are going on the assumption that there are no perfect candidates). Then it's a matter of what priority you place on various issues (economic, social, character, personality etc. etc.). So maybe one candidate ranks at 40% and the other at 20%. So you vote for the 40% candidate yet there's still a number of things you don't agree with or may not like about them.

You hear that with a number of Trump voters who acknowledge his personal shortcomings while still voting for him based on other reasons.

On one hand, I get all that. On the other hand, I think it shows how little knowledge magas have about policy, government and the Constitution, and how easily they fell under the spell of a snake oil salesman.

I also think "personal shortcomings" downplays trump's character. He's a convicted criminal, a felon. Repubs had a number of non-felonious candidates they could have chosen who were just as trumpy as Donald but who had more smarts.

Heels Up Harris was a DEI hire and she is a moron pure and simple.
