Newtown - the case for seeing the photos

there is no common sense in restricting the types of guns when the 2nd Amendment is adhered to.

The 2nd doesn't even mention guns, it talks about arms. So, I take it, that you are OK with American citizens protecting their home with landmines? How about 50 caliber machine guns? Maybe 20mm AA mounts? Doesn't ahhering to the 2nd Amendment allow all of that as well? What about small, tactical nukes? Do you believe that common sense requires government to allow us all to have any type of arms we want? No limits? No restrictions?

So you're ok with felons, spouse abusers, etc owning guns? Wow. No idea where to go with that. Except to feel sorry for your lack of ethics.
yes, because if you can't be trusted in public with a weapon, then you can't be trusted in public. so if you can't trust the felon, keep him in prison. If a spouse abuser can't seem to keep his/her temper in check, the spouse of the spouse should also have a gun to check her/him. it's not a lack of ethics, despite your pitiful attempt to paint it that way. It's about peoples ability to stand up and protect themselves.

the 2nd Amendment does NOT provide for the government to ALLOW us anything. It provides that the government shall not infringe upon it.

this is the problem that all of you statists have, that the bill of rights is something the government allowed us to have. that is not the case.

you tap dance around the question. Do you believe that, if you wanted to mine your front yard, that should be perfectly OK? If you wanted to put stinger missiles in mounts on your roof, that should be perfectly OK? If you wanted to walk into your child's parent teacher conference lugging a Browning Automatic Rifle, that no one should bat an eye? If you wanted a 20mm dual mount on your front porch to intimidate your daughter's dates, that should be perfectly acceptable in our nation? No limits? No restrictions? None. Whatsoever? Really?

every time one of you positivists ask these kinds of questions I have to respond that ANY weapon that the government would/could use against the population is a weapon that we the people should be able to have. if that's mines, then yes. if that is stingers, then yes. if that is M16s in a school, then yes. NO restrictions whatsoever.

I'm very glad you aren't in charge.

of course you're glad. freedom is terrifying to you. I understand. nobody of our current generations really remembers what freedom was like, but I promise you that following me will open your eyes and help you remember what the founders envisioned.

Yes. Well, how about arms of military utility.

And yet they put in a mechanism to change that. Wonder why you pick and choose parts of the Constitution to follow.

What a fucking joke. Right wing turds like you, Rune, Freak, and Dumber than Shit don't believe in the Constitution, you don't believe in the wisdom of our founding fathers, you don't believe in the form of government they created or any mechanisms they put in place. And you don't believe in America or the wisdom of it's people.

You believe America is no different than the monarchy of King George. That the Constitution and mechanisms can be somehow usurped by fiat. That this Constitution can totally disarm the citizenry. That the balance of power can be totally undermined by a single man.

NO ONE is EVER going to confiscate all weapons. It will never happen, and it can never happen. You would know that if you had any belief in America.

ROFL, rune has a right wing brain????? and studies?????? really???? :derp:

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.”
Douglas Adams

On this topic...ABSOLUTELY. Care to try to prove me wrong???

Never huh? Hey, what are you doing with the Power Ball winnings? I'm assuming you won what with your apparent psychic powers.

Just like the federal government will never seize peoples property without a warrant, it'll never detain citizens without trial or evidence, it will never subject you to surveillance without evidence or cause. No the government will always be loving and honest forever and ever.

NEVER

READ DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA et al. v. HELLER

Your own far right wing robes ruled on the 2nd amendment. They said the government can NEVER disarm the citizens, that "The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home." Liberals are willing to live with their interpretation, why aren't you right wingers? Is it because you will only accept absolutism? Is it because your own right wing robes ALSO ruled: "Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose" Like Dumber than Shit's belief that every citizen has a right to own his own nuclear weapon, rocket launcher, F-16 and anti-aircraft gun?

Beware of the half-truth. You may have gotten hold of the wrong half.
