'No Kings' protests return Saturday across the Triangle; expect traffic delays

I wouldn't slow down either, for I would mow them down. What was the name of the woman in Minnesota that tried to mow down an ICE agent. She got what was coming to her with a spot in a graveyard. Those stupid protestors blocking the roads would never stop me from teaching them a lesson by me driving right through them.
Are you saying you'd expect to be shot?

Hey, at least they're peaceful you gotta give them that! Of course, so are cemeteries usually...
Yeah, I think the DOJ has been putting a lot of heat on Antifa lately, going straight for money behind the organization, causing a major problem for them. It's similar to what happens in a drug infested neighborhood, when someone well known enough to make headlines is killed or overdoses. The fed's move in and the heat gets turned up high on everyone, but especially the kingpins supplying that neighborhood. All of the low-life dealers scatter like bugs and the word goes out to go dark until the heat goes down.

At least I hope that's what is going on. I hope the heat is so high, the entire organization gets burned to a crisp, metaphorically or course.

That is stupid I guess you would be okay with hitting somebody and killing them and going to jail .

Why would I go to jail?

There is no legal requirement in the United States for drivers to slow down or stop specifically for protesters.

Protesters have First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble and express views in public spaces, but they have no right to obstruct or block traffic on public roads.

Many states passed or strengthened laws after 2020 protests to deter road blockades:
  • Increased penalties for protesters who intentionally obstruct highways.
  • Civil or criminal immunity/protections for drivers who unintentionally injure someone while lawfully proceeding or fleeing a “riot” or unlawful blockade (if the driver reasonably fears imminent harm and exercises due care). Examples include Florida (2021 anti-riot law), Oklahoma, Iowa, Louisiana, and others.

Why do you suppose the lefties cried so much about USAID getting slapped down?

I think it has more to do with the easy federal money Biden and other Democrats were handing out drying up under Trump. With no generous, unchecked funding coming from the government, many Leftist groups simply no longer have the money to do anything in particular. Their members, generally being low wage earners and welfare recipients, can't put the cash up themselves.

There's not enough energy there to get too feisty.... That why they have them so early... The later ones have all the hired hands... And the rebels...🤣

The 'No Kings' protests made their way back to North Carolina, the first of which started in Apex at 9:30 a.m.

12:45 p.m.: Some smaller roads have closed around Capital Blvd as the crowd gets larger. However, the roads could be getting cleared soon as many demonstrators are expected to head down to the protest at the State Capitol.

12:30 p.m.: Richard Huggins, a former corporate pilot, held a sign on Capital Blvd that read, 'Fight truth decay, no more lies or democracy dies'. Huggins said, "I haven't been to a protest since I protested in high school against the Vietnam War, but it's time we all stood up and do something."

He added, "You can't believe a word he [President Trump] says. I've met Trump before, I met him the day announced his candidacy for the first one... Now, it's snowballed into this catastrophe of a government."

More than 70 towns and cities in N.C. will host events. Here are 12 locations across the Triangle:

You stated you wouldn't slow down if you ran into a protester hit somebody and killed them then it could be coincided intentional manslaughter .
