Nothing to see here

No, you just think I do because I bash leftists. Usually in some thread where they make a terrible argument. You just think it is "defending" someone because you don't like to be embarrassed when someone points out your hypocrisy or terrible logic.

Seriously.

I say, Biden has no brain during the election, leftist say: "Why you support Trump?" I say, I do not, will not vote for him, tell you why I will not and who I am voting for instead, you say, "Why you support Trump?"

Now: Leftist say something absurd like "There is no waste in government" I point out that they are absurdly ignorant and you say: "Why you defend Trump?"

Then we go through the same process again.

Do better with arguments, you will see me in other threads mocking others.

Is there anyone prominent in the Dem party who has said there is no waste in government?

Look...I really do not care.
You apparently do. Now, tell me again how that sentence is "defending Trump" or get on with your bad arguments and actually read what I say. Telling leftists they are hypocrites is not the same thing as "defending Trump".

Nonsense, I detest rubbish arguments. Since most of the rubbish arguments seem to be on the one side they get my attention. Currently the rudderless Democrat Party deserves to be mocked... Their arguments today: "No there isn't any government waste!" and "he's taking 'our' money'" and "Elon bad" are not making much headway.
What democrat has said there is no government waste? Elon is bad because he is an unelected person getting access to a spies wet dream level of personal info on Americans. I wouldn't give even the most trustworthy guy half of what they are letting that megalomaniac take.

There are literally folks here that have. That's my point. When I point out that finding and eliminating waste in government is a worthy goal they tell me that they aren't finding any because there isn't any... and I tell them they are absurdly and purposefully ignorant. I then urge them to continue the silly argument because it is working exactly as well as it should.

I haven't seen it on here - and you did ascribe that to the Democrat Party.

I mean, you were talking about rubbish arguments. At least be intellectually honest about that one. Dems are certainly rudderless, but the vast majority I have heard have said there is waste, but they don't trust Musk & his team to handle that well.

Nonsense, he had more than that information when he owned PayPal and proved to be responsible. He also has clearances you would only dream of in order to build the rockets, etc. that are taking our astronauts places.

Like the 150-year-old debacle?

Paypal doesn't have access to Social Security matters, nor does SpaceX.

What do you believe that Elon said about that? I can tell you what was said, and what was actually found.

While Elon joked about "a lot of vampires" what he found was a sloppy database with incomplete death records. While most of the people over 100 were not receiving benefits, most were also dead (only about 90,000 people in the US are over the age of 100, over 18 Million people in that age bracket are listed as "dead=False" in the database).

Now, Trump said stuff about it too, he did mention the "over 150 years old" thing... but not Elon.

I'd encourage you to do a fact check of some of the claims both Trump & Musk have made on this. As is their usual, they have exaggerated wildly.

It's been reported that less than 1% of SS payments have been found to be improper - most overpayments to living recipients.

In reality any payment found to be improper is good to end. And I grok that cleaning up the database is a goodness.

Of course. But it's not a huge problem right now - not the problem that Musk & Trump are portraying. Most organizations don't have perfect records - an error rate of less than 1% for over a trillion in spend isn't a pearl clutcher.

I don't particularly care if it is "huge" I care that some problems were found and corrected, this is, as I said earlier, a goodness. Positive results are coming from what he is doing, even if they exaggerate or hyperbolize, even "joke" about vampires... None of that matters, what matters is that what was found will be fixed. And this isn't even a deep dive...

I can appreciate that. But I also do NOT appreciate the dishonest portrayal from Trump & Musk, on a variety of fronts.

They're talking to Americans like we're all uneducated and can't think for ourselves, or look up facts. They don't need to exaggerate & make wild claims to sell this - but they do, every day.

Obviously, it damages their credibility. And that's what most people have an issue with.

I don't particularly care how it is characterized by them. I look forward to seeing if they can find 2 Trillion in the time allotted or not. I think it has barely begun, and the best finds are yet to come.

I get how folks can get annoyed with hyperbole and exaggeration... but I don't get how folks who were willing to listen to "misinformation" lies are upset about a bit of exaggeration like this. There is always some hyperbole in politicians, most of the time I overlook it to get to the meat of the subject. In this, I like that someone is finally actually looking at these things with a goal to curb waste and abuse. IGs have sucked at this for decades and decades, barely looking at what they were supposed to look at....

Looks like it - you refuse to accept that Trump is.
He's a traitor who sucks up to Vladimir Putin and broke his oath 1/6 and continues to do it today.

Have you ever taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, Sybil? I'm guessing you never cared to do so.

Because I don't give a flying fuck about Ukraine. Ukraine and Russia have hated each other for centuries. I say, let them duke it out and may both ended up dead. Ukraine offers nothing to the US or Europe.

Russia on the other hand, is feeding China lots of critical military technology that is being exploited and is not in Europe's or the US's best interests.

Therefore, making nice with Russia and ending the war in Ukraine are in the US's and Europe's best interests. Prolonging it isn't.
Interesting that you want to suck up to the Axis of Evil, Terry, but then you've been headed down this road for a couple of years now ever since you joined the Party of Trump.

They aren’t “looking at things”, that’s the problem, they are slashing everything and standing back from the fallout, and then trying to recover, like firing 300 nuclear weapons facilities personnel.

People of this nation, like myself, want a balanced budget, but this burn everything to the ground is not the needed approach.
