Obama Breaks out.. 30% to Clinton 22% Iowa

Nothing has been done to adequately avoid another election theft like that of 2000 and 2004 .. and that fault lies directly with the American people .. not politicians, the American people. If they want to install Guiliani, they can install Guilani and they know there is nothing the American people woud do about it.

If blacks can't run at the top of the democratic ticket, why are they voting for them? I'm not trying to be sarcastic, it's an honest question.

I agree, and I didn't intend to sound as if I fully support Obama, but the question of whether a viable black candidate should be supported by democrats who vitally need black votes is another question.

"Wait your turn" has gone stale.

Oh...you are right about that. I hope that is not what I am saying, it's not what I'm thinking. If Obama, who showed so much promise early on, would just have showed something. If he hadn't presented a health care plan that is watered down even from the already watered down ones, if he had held firm on Iran, if he would talk about some things that need talking about, I'd support him, even if it meant losing the election.

I think you are right about Rudy, and unlike a lot of people, I won't be surprised if he ends up to be our president in 09, at this point. I didn't realize it early on, and thought he would crater, but this appears to have been in the works for many years now. I believe that marks the end of our country, but I won't be surprised.

Maybe Obama will be nominated and win the general and I will be proved wrong in my pessimism about this country. I think he probably has a better chance than Hillary for instance. But in the end, the fact is, we are facing a unique situation in that out of the so-called top-tier dems, the one presenting the most progressive plans is also showing in polls to be the most electable in the general. Why do we want to blow that? boy I'd like to get some form of health care for everyone in two years. Imagine if we could only do that.

I agree with evertything you've said here.

My prediction: Clinton/Obama .. and the Clintons are powerful enough to challenge the obvious attempts at election fraud. They may be the only ones powerful enough to do so on the democratic side.

It's not the ticket I want, but I think it's the ticket we're going to get .. and it may be the only ticket powerful enough to keep Guiliani from stealing it.

If Clinton's not on the ticket, the republicans will steal it.

not steal it, crush the weak as democrats as usual is what will happen.
I agree with Clinton/Obama
strongest ticket for change. Period
