Which again, doesn't change that it just continues the same pattern, it isn't making it "better".

Which changes nothing of what I have stated. If the "world will love it" based on his personality rather than what he has done, it just cements that it has nothing to do with merit. That you support it as if it is something right is only evidence of my diagnosis of your partisan induced blindness.

People who have been claiming the process was a joke are laughing their asses off as half of the liberals around the world collectively face-palmed. Uh that's my point. It hasn't devolved at all. Virtually all the Nobel Peace Prize winners have been controversial politicians of questionable merit. How can things devolve when it's virtually always been that way?

There have actually been very few winners, Like Schwietzer, Nelson Mandela, MLK Jr, Welesa, or Mother Thresa that actually stood for peace or put their ass on the line for peace. Not to mention those who were obviously deserving such as Mahatma Ghandi and Cory Aquino who were not awarded the prize.

Once again, it doesn't need to continue in the same direction and no, pointing out two of them and saying it "always was" doesn't change that the prize has been turned into a partisan political tool rather than something anybody should be proud of receiving. This simply furthers the turn in that direction. From what used to be a prize given solely for advancing humanity in some way to nominations because it is political to do so.

Just looking at the nominees who lost to Obama makes me embarrassed for the committee who voted this way.

Hey, if two time Bush voters want to cheer about the US losing the olympics, and crying like little girls about an american president winning a Nobel, knock yourselves out. It's an award, it's nothing more than that.

I don't pretend to have read all the statements the Nobel committee made about this. Although, evidently, a lot of Cons became instant experts on this topic without having read the entire text or statements of the Nobel Committee.

I think the world is just relieved that the man you voted for twice has been heartily rejected by the american people. I think you Bush lovers underestimate just how dangerous Bush made the world, and the criminality and immorality of his war on Iraq and his bullshit cowboy foreign policy.
