Umm in April of 2020 the oil industry was collapsing and oil was $16.55 which is clearly not sustainable. Trump reduced oil exports by filling the SOR. There is no way for the government to prevent oil producers from producing and it is against the law for them to cooperate together to reduce or increase the production of oil. That cheap oil that Trump put into the reserve is now being sold by Biden putting us at increased strategic risk. God forbid a hurricane severely damage our gulf cost drilling rigs.

It isn't as simple as how much WE produce vs how much OPEC+ produces. The oil price is a function of BOTH of those things and OPEC+ probably has a MUCH bigger lever. If they slash production it drives up the cost ACROSS THE BOARD>
