I once in awhile give it to someone who asks for it though



I live in a very Latino area

Right in the beginning of the pandemic an old white man struck up a conversation with me about covid


He’s says “ I don’t believe it’s real”

I looked at him and said You watch fox huh

I told him you do know covid doesn’t care wether you believe in it or not


A lot of old people are going to die

I told him fox was lying to him and that fox is the only station on earth that claims all other stations are liars


I told him that is con man stuff


That if he walked into this store and the first person he met told him EVERYONE ELSE was a liar what would he think of that person?


I told him he was being a fool



I apologized to the girl checking us out and that I just couldn’t take this crap anymore


She was beaming and telling me it was OK


HE PICKED THE ONE OLD WHITE LADY TO TALK TOO


We were surrounded by Latinos

He thought I was going to be with his stupid


Instead I got a store full of smiles for taking the old fox idiot on


I hope he listened to me


If he listened to fox he’s likely dead of covid

Yeah. Unless it was someone like a politician I knew could do something about it, I would never get into a politics or religion conversation with a stranger. That's how police incidents happen!

Holding grudges isn't a habit for me either.

That said, there's a lot of ground in between holding a grudge and simply being cordial. People have moods within a range and then they have long term behavior.

He was an old man


And it was right before the masses of senior homes started recording massive death


He approached me

He caught me in a moment in time when I knew what this nation was about to face down


I still kinda hope it made him take it all seriously


Especially when a few days later the death toll went wild in old folks homes


I think it was the racist nature of what he was doing in chosing Me to talk to


I was the other white person there


I’m telling you the entire store was blown away with my reaction to him


I live among Latinos

You would not believe the shitty things I’ve seen the white people do to them when there are lots of white people around
