Our grotesquely fat president at high risk of heart attack

I don't do conspiracy theories. Not sure how Trump's easily-shown decline in speaking ability could translate into one. Taking an educated guess at possible causes has nothing to do with professional ethics, but thanks for your concern.

I'm curious -- did you or anyone you know speculate about Hillary's mental and/or physical health during the 2016 campaign? I recall hearing that she was afflicted with everything from stroke to alcoholism to dementia, according to your RW pundits.

I remember her collapsing as she tried to leave an event and her secret service throwing her limp body into the back of her truck. I’m sure there was some fevered speculation of that, but not from the same people who now speculate about Trumps cognition. They were too busy obfuscating Hillary’s obvious health problems.

Too be fair, I’m sure some said that, but that’s what doctors are for. Her doctor says it was pneumonia. Now, what does Trump’s doctors say?

That he's overweight, needs to eat less and exercise more, and continue taking his statins. If he were a healthy specimen he wouldn't need statins.

lots of people are on statins. It's not a big deal. He's overweight a bit ( BMI indexes are notoriously strict) and needs to walk more - like 1/2 the freaking population

You're being generous. He's at least 35 lbs. overweight. He should be about 210 for his height and he's nowhere near that. He's made very few changes to his diet and lifestyle. Last year the Mayo Clinic said that people of his age and with his form of coronary disease would be at risk for a heart attack if they didn't make some alterations. I'd like to see the results of his tests, not read about them on websites.

Sure half the population has weight issues but they aren't running the country.

what "coronary disease" high cholesterol?. is that a "disease"now?
He doesn't have any other risk factors I know of like smoking/drinking..

It's a silly discussion. he's got high energy - but trying to make any diagnosis isn't helpful

Her campaign was more forthcoming though, wasn't it? She had pneumonia. That's usually curable. Mental decline though, not so much.

Trump wrote last years report. The first one was from a crazy doctor who also said what Trumpy wanted. This one too is questionable because of Trumps precedence of overseeing his physicals. He is a control freak.

Yep. The physician last year, the one who left, even increased his Crestor. Crestor is one of the most powerful of the statins and is not usually the first chosen unless the person has a lot of good reasons why he/she needs it NOW. BTW, statins themselves can cause a kind of mental fog, so it's possible that is contributing to Trump's verbal problems.

I agree. Crestor is bad stuff. I have to use Lovostatin - it's one of the original Statins -and I take co_Q..the damn drugs will kill you, not the cholesterol

You're right. Definitely statins have been implicated in the development of Type II diabetes as well as that mental fog. We need cholesterol for brain functioning; it only makes sense that if you block too much of it your noggin isn't going to be at its best.

Best wishes for your health, noise.

TY Owl..I much appreciate it. I got arthritic knees so walking too much doesn't cut it..but I at least swim a couple times a week..and sit at my desk for work.

Crestor is nasty

Last year his doc revealed that Trump underwent a coronary calcium CT scan as part of his routine physical exam. His score is 133, and anything over 100 indicates plaque is present and that the patient has heart disease.

According to Trump's official medical records, in 2009 his coronary calcium score was 34. In 2013, it was 98.

Most people might have not heard of this test, also known simply as a heart scan or calcium score. It is a CT scan, a specialized X-ray that takes high quality pictures of the heart, looking for calcium-containing plaque in the blood vessels that feed the heart, known as the coronaries. With this information, doctors can then calculate the risk of having a heart problem in the future.

In the case of Trump, a new score of 133 reveals there has been a steady build-up of plaque in his blood vessels, indicating moderate heart disease. Also concerning are Trump's total cholesterol levels and his LDL ("bad" cholesterol), as both increased significantly over the last year, despite being on a statin drug known as Crestor or Rosuvastatin."

You're welcome. Swimming is excellent; bicycling is also great exercise and easy on the knees. Be well, friend.

That's fairly alarming, given his age, the lack of meaningful exercise, high stress position, and failure to adhere to a health diet. If this was your husband or dad you'd be pretty worried about him.

Aimee does seem really nice, I enjoy her posts.

I also think that deranged thread is a tribute to narcissism. It's gone beyond its original purpose and is now just an embarrassment. And the way the "principal" (haha) keeps talking about making it go on until X number of posts are reached is disturbing. I read what Grind wrote but still think the mods should put it out of its misery. :D

Your comments over there earlier were hilarious. I see you shot down the Klingon and sent her scurrying off to lick her wounds. Not that that's very difficult. lol
