Peaceful pardoned political prisoner in the news

As I recall, doing that is a definite rule breaker...or so it's been said...
I dunno
While I have no doubt Top has filled up @Damocles mailbox with reports whining about being underwater at -1200 on her reaction score, if the system was a rule breaker, then why is it an option?

Secondly, it works both ways.

FWIW, it was Top who made a big deal about reaction scores. Now that she is reaping what she had sown, she's whining about the consequences. Like most JPP MAGAts, she's weak, stupid and fails to consider the consequences of her actions just like this guy:

“I voted for Donald Trump. But this is not what I was expecting”

I could make it so that it gives positive points regardless of the image... Regardless, what it tends to measure is the lean of membership. At this time we appear to have a majority leftist lean in membership.

If "majority leftist lean" means people who are not Orange Kool-Aid drinkers, I agree. If you mean people who are Democrats, I disagree.

As for the membership score, I don't give a shit. It's like the virtual slings and arrows being tossed around the forum. The Sticks and Stones Rule applies. People who can't handle it are just proving they are weak, stupid and immature.

Considering that the average age of JPP members is around 60, I think that indicates such people are losers. It would be expected of a teenage, but not someone of retirement age...unless they are suffering from age-related dementia, then I understand.

Every person that crossed the southern border illegally is a criminal and always a criminal
Agreed. Just like every person who assaulted police on 1/6 and broke into the Capitol.

Who are the bigger criminals, my Canadian friend?: those crossing the border illegally to seek a job or the violent militants who beat police and broke into the Capitol seeking murder Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi?

Absolute rubbish... Pretending that none of them did is absurd. Shoot, some draft dodgers participating in resistance protests even injured police officers, you know those same cops that some of the Jan 6ers injured.

You asked for information, then when it is presented you simply try to whitewash history and pretend you didn't ask for it or that it "isn't good enough" for you.

The reality, both of the mainstream political parties have blanket pardoned folks, and when they did some folks among the blanket pardons were violent offenders who didn't deserve them.

Everyone likes to believe they are part of the "elite" and are in some way "better" than the unwashed in "that other group" but in reality all of us are Americans who have been failed by these folks we vote to represent us.

TLDR version:

- blanket pardons are bad.
- both side have done them.
- bad guys get pardons when they are used regardless of which side uses them.

Again, you want to deflect from Tarrio being pardoned by Trump to Carter. This thread is not about Carter. No where did I "pretend" that the draft dodgers never sinned after being freed. I have simply refused to discuss that because this thread is not about something that didn't happen as far as we know from 50 years ago.

Wow. As you deflect you pretend that it is me, you still are trying to gaslight folks.

You do not get to ignore the relevant history and pretend that the only thing that matters are what you want folks to see, as if we got there magically without the history that brought us to the point.

I will constantly remind you of your party's gaslighting with Dementia Joe and your attempts to whitewash and forget history, will bring the conversation back to your own hypocrisy. I didn't vote for Dementia Joe, Jimmy Carter, or Trump.... You voted for at least one of them twice... You may be old enough to have voted for the peanut farmer, I have no idea. Regardless, we do not get to just "forget" uncomfortable history because you want to focus on Felonious DJT "unburdened by the past"... No, you drag that past along with you, even when you don't want to look at it.

We agree, blanket pardons are problematic, we even agree as to why. Of the people here in this conversation only you are trying to gaslight yourself and us into believing that it didn't matter when folks you agree with did it, they were wearing blue so they cannot possibly do wrong. Don't look here, that guy's ORANGE!
