Ya think?
But what does that have to do with the Evangelical denomination?
Merely pointing out your ignorance, not of just other religions, but of issues in general that are part of our daily lives.
And, you validated that.
Ya think?
But what does that have to do with the Evangelical denomination?
Anyway he was talking about bumper stickers (so it must have been a long time ago) & he was saying that if you have all these [I love Jesus] etc on your bumper don't do around flipping ppl off on the road, running stop signs etc....... He said I'll help you peel them off the car, TODAY!!!! (essentially telling him/them that he was rePing the church, not just himself & not doing very well for either)..
Somewhere in there he mentioned another guy that was telling him how he was having a bad day, then got on the road & all these jerks kept honking @ him & how he had to tell them off etc...... The pastor asked him if he still had that bumper sticker on his car that said [Honk if you love Jesus]....![]()
I just did, but if you want more.....Instead of cussing about it, why not get off your high horse & explain it..
Shouldn't take to long, cut & paste if need be.ThnxView attachment 10921
In fact, the founding of the National Association of Evangelicals in the late 1940s was one example of that moving away from strict fundamentalism. We've seen a lot of that since. In the 1990s, for instance, there was a real effort on the part of the National Association of Evangelicals and many other evangelicals to move away from some of the aspects of fundamentalism which were problematic.
It shows the left's hatred and despise of Evangelicals has influenced the ignorant.
They claim everything is political about us, but that is far from the truth. None of
our sermons or classes promote politics in any way, we don't question those we help.
Maybe we should quit helping people, quit donating to local homeless shelters and
actually earn the "reputation" the left has bestowed upon us. But we won't.
Were the sermons political if you've gone? None of ours were ever political.
There have been many attacks on those Catholic priests who were found out to be pedophiles (and rightly so if they were, I'd prefer just shooting ANY pedophile) and no one attacks Catholics in general, and they shouldn't be attacked. Yet, Evangelicals are attacked far more than any other Christian denomination. Why is that?
Could it be that education and critical thinking skills aren't stressed in the homes of you people
Could it be that many of us are against abortion? Is that why we are so "bad"?
Shooting pedophiles? Very religious of you.
Then don't have an abortion. The left and atheists are not forcing you to. It is your choice. That is a very religious stance, isn't it?
Yeah, that's it. Nearly all atheists start out in religion but can see the stupidity of it. Religious people make those claims about charity but the facts do not bear it out. Evangelical religions are clearly about money. Churches are about money and power. Show me a priest with 2 suits and I will show you a hypocrite. Religious leaders live like kings. http://dustoffthebible.com/Blog-arc...-getting-out-of-bed-than-youll-make-all-year/ Make them richer and then lecture us about all the good religions do.
What would you do with them? You have a soft spot in your "heart" for them?
Because haters like you are their public face. Were the sermons political if you've gone? None of ours were ever political.

That's because the public image that Christians and especially evangelicals project is one of right-wing haters. As you continue to demonstrate.Still, you have nothing legitimate to say. Do you see anyone on the right insulting Evangelicals? Or Christians in general?
