Free isn't affordable??? Anyone requiring emergency healthcare can obtain it free of charge, enough to stabilize them.
The last time I had to pay for healthcare, was microsurgery to remove an infected gall bladder for a family member. That surgery was a 2 day affair, and recovery was complete and well handled. I paid out of pocket for that surgery. It didn't cost enough to trigger my health insurance to kick in. The last time I got any healthcare was for an eye exam, again paid for out of pocket. I spent so little on healthcare I couldn't even claim it as a deduction on my taxes.

Anyone believing otherwise is a fool.

It is affordable.

An act’s title doesn’t always accurately describe the act’s performance. the “Patient’s Protection and affordable Care Act” would more accurately describe the as the “PP & Generally Less Unaffordable Care Act”.

This act didn't address healthcare at all. It attempted to nationalize the health insurance industry. The effect was to almost double the cost of health insurance. It has failed.

Amazon has killed millions of jobs, and treats employees like cattle.

Amazon has killed no job, unless they terminated a department at Amazon and couldn't find room for those employees elsewhere. Employees want to work for Amazon. They can leave if they want to. You are spewing union hate.

There would be way, way, way more mentally ill on the streets, if not for Social Security Disability, and much more craziness, crime, and death too without Medicaid too.

Amazon doesn't have cashiers, except at their Whole Food stores and at their Amazon book stores. They have not gotten rid of any of these jobs.

Amazon didn't collapse any store. People decided to shop on Amazon for books and videos. They have a bigger selection than any local store. People made the choice. Amazon forced nothing.
Capitalism won here. Amazon provided a store that had a better selection and home delivery than existing bookstores. Plenty of book stores remain, but less than before Amazon. People made the change. Amazon forced nothing.
