Free isn't affordable??? Anyone requiring emergency healthcare can obtain it free of charge, enough to stabilize them.Into the Night, unless medical care is affordable, it isn’t accessible care.
The last time I had to pay for healthcare, was microsurgery to remove an infected gall bladder for a family member. That surgery was a 2 day affair, and recovery was complete and well handled. I paid out of pocket for that surgery. It didn't cost enough to trigger my health insurance to kick in. The last time I got any healthcare was for an eye exam, again paid for out of pocket. I spent so little on healthcare I couldn't even claim it as a deduction on my taxes.
It is affordable.Anyone believing otherwise is a fool.
This act didn't address healthcare at all. It attempted to nationalize the health insurance industry. The effect was to almost double the cost of health insurance. It has failed. An act’s title doesn’t always accurately describe the act’s performance. the “Patient’s Protection and affordable Care Act” would more accurately describe the as the “PP & Generally Less Unaffordable Care Act”.
