Proof the Right Has No Idea What The Debate is About

That's because the government sets the rules, and makes the private companies file all kinds of paperwork that they exempt themselves from filing, dummy.

Yeah, I'm sure thats it.

Why don't you show me what paperwork private insurance companies have to file that Medicare is exempt from?

I wonder why the obstructionists expend so much effort to help insurance companies preserve their obscene profits at the expense of their fellow human beings and our country.

Any ideas?

It is generally accepted that private insurance company administrative costs run, on average, at about 15-16% of their revenues. Medicare runs at about 3-7%.

By the way, how many fucking Medicare patients have to deal with paperwork having to do with newborns? About 0 is my guess.

Just in case not everyone followed that link, SM linked me to the The Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act of 1996 as evidence of the government writing rules that exempt themselves to burden private industry with extra paperwork in some conspiracy to make their overhead higher.

NEWBORNS AND MOTHERS. How many mothers of newborns are on Medicare? This is so retarded it almost requires a signature. Fortunately, Dixie has the slot tied up.

You don't have to post the whole thing. You just have to give me something that says Medicare doesn't have to file it and private insurers do. Your data dump doesn't accomplish that.
You dummy, the rules are only for private insurers. Medicare is listed as one of the regulating agencies.

At the very beginning:

AGENCIES:

Internal Revenue Service, Department of the Treasury; Employee Benefits Security Administration, Department of Labor; Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Department of Health and Human Services.
ACTION:

Final rules.
SUMMARY:

This document contains final rules for group health plans and health insurance issuers concerning hospital lengths of stay for mothers and newborns following childbirth pursuant to the Newborns’ and Mothers’ Health Protection Act of 1996 and the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.

In summary, you pulled all that crap about the extra paperwork from the government for making private industry waste 40 percent of revenue on administrative costs, in some cases.

The fact that it's still PAPERwork should tell you about how much effort they're putting into their infrastructure. The fact is whatever they charge we have to pay it so they have no incentive to improve efficiency.

Why hasn't the media announced that Medicaid is insurance that covers everybody so there's no need for reform?

SM says we already have universal health care. It's called Medicaid!
That's right dummy if you're too stupid or cheap to buy your own insurance the government will provide it for you, after you've spent yourself down to a certain level. In other words, if you're willing to take the gamble, the government will still be there for you, but after you lost your gambling profits.
