I am simply amazed you were fully expecting, maybe even hoping for beheadings of Americans.

I was never dumb enough to be duped by that particular MAGA talking point. The Taliban had won the war when Trump surrendered to them in 2020, and there was no strategic benefit to them in cutting off heads of Americans on video.

Again, the conversation is about NATO/Ukraine and the Russian invasion. It is not about Afghanistan -- which, btw, Russia also invaded on a pretext. *We* had a valid reason.

You propose trekking 40 miles on an unprotected road to Bagram while losing less than 13 Americans?

You want to fly them from Kabul to Bagram? So you would have the same bottleneck at Kabul, which still leaves Americans at the same risk.

You need military convoys over a period of time. it's called "phased withdrawal"

I've just heard that completely stupid woman, Truss, that the Brits have installed as a ' Foreign Secretary ' stating that she welcomes Finland and Sweden to join NATO- and then closing her speech by suggesting that they'll be able to help in a conflict with CHINA !
Can you imagine- a North Atlantic Treaty to fight the Chinese ? Yet that's what they want. Finland and Sweden like Ukraine , are making a tragic error.

Dumbass. NATO countries have been hoodwinked into fighting for US/Israel in the Middle East and for US interests in Afghanistan and any conflict with China will see NATO sucked in.

EU is the largest trading partner with China
NATO is concerned with Europe/Russia, not China
If/when China goes after Taiwan NATO will have nothing to do about it

Only a shooting war with China (attack by) would suck NATO in under Article 5

The last this to ever happen would be China going up against any NATO country
China is much more adept in using soft power the we are, and they dont need to war against the USA
