You got to be living in Kansas or someplace similar, just not the way it is in most of America
Dude, don’t you live in the NE? Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont are like almost all white.
You got to be living in Kansas or someplace similar, just not the way it is in most of America
I've asked this question a few times during discussions on this board and I never got an answer. Now I'm curious to see if anyone can answer it, so here goes.
Why does racial integration only happen when it's forced on people? I think most people prefer living around and associating with people of their own race. And that's the reason the government needs to force integration through affirmative action and anti-discrimination laws. If I'm wrong, and people don't have racial preferences, then what is the reason that multiracialism never just happens on its own? Why does it only happen through government force?
People self-segregate in every state.
Not at all, from what I have seen in the rest of America, I know I live in unique part of the country, and we're glad of it, but I've around enough to know everything isn't segregated as the post implies
Then you must be living in Kansas along side him, no wait, better yet, a gated community in Florida
Why does it only happen through government force?
So why does it have to be forced by law?
The areas vary in size but not in concept.People self-segregate in every state.
Before I was red-pilled on race, I noticed the same thing in my high school cafeteria. And there wasn't any racism there, no fights over racial issues or anything like that. We all just preferred to self-segregate.
Op .... go visit a negro neighborhood and then get back to us ...
ok.I am back. Survived again.
You must not be white ....
No they don't, they live where their means will let them.
My high school cafeteria was like the one in the movie "Mean Girls." The segregation involved popular, non-popular, airheads, nerds, sports, band etc.
I think your premise about it "being forced on people" is wrong, so there isn't much else to say about the rest of the statement. Yes, in some areas landlords and real estate agents had to be "encouraged" to rent or sell to non-whites. Why is that? Because the whites in the area believed that if they had non-white neighbors their property values would suffer. It used to be just fine to refuse to hire a person of color in favor of an equally-qualified white person, because of the racist and mistaken belief that non-whites are lazy, poorly-educated, and not intelligent.
So far as I know, we have yet to see (for example) black ppl fleeing their neighborhood because some whites moved in down the street. Haven't seen Hispanics or Asians do that either, have you?
At any rate, your premise is wrong. Many companies esp. those with public faces *want* to hire non-white, non-male employees to show that they celebrity diversity and aren't bigots.
Those stereotypes are only for certain non-white races. One of the stereotypes about Jews and Asians is that they're very smart but they weren't welcomed into white neighborhoods either. And today there are considerably less white people who believe these stereotypes, yet we still need the anti-discrimination laws. And, of course, it's not just white people who self-segregate, it's every race and ethnicity.
They do if they can. Because black and brown people tend to be less well-off, it's harder for them to just pack up and move. However, they do complain about white people moving in under the guise of complaining about "gentrification." Sometimes they do this quite openly, saying that gentrification is a white thing.
The fact that the media and academia have to push multiracialism through shame, guilt, and threat of ostracization is a whole other issue, but in the same category. Why does this need to happen? If multiracialism is natural, why not just step back and let it happen without either figurative or literal force?
There are still plenty of white people who would refuse to serve/rent to/hire/sell to ppl of other races and/or religions if they could get away with it. Humans who live in close proximity to each other do tend to prefer their "own kind" whether it's ethnicity, language, religion, nationality. No doubt there is some evolutionary reason for this; probably a survival trait left over from the time when a group of strangers could mean your group's death.
Most of us have managed to stifle that innate genetic trait and embrace a diverse world.
And telling the truth about this is bad because.... ? Gentrification IS a "white thing" because which racial group is most likely to have the means to rehab an old building and sell it as condos? Unfortunately as this happens taxes and real estate prices rise, and pressure is put on long-time residents to sell out. Sometimes a developer with enough pull can get an area blighted so that he can get rid of the homeowners and make a mint on the properties.
How interesting that you are somehow made to feel guilty by outside forces. Why on Earth would you feel guilty because a particular racial group in the U.S. wasn't doing well? Why wouldn't you feel anger and sadness instead, and try to do something about it? Or is the guilt because you don't want to?
