Question for fans of multiracialism

You'll have to tell me why you think that to be true...I've never mentioned "putin"....
Don't you hate "irrationality"?
Do bots have huskies in OSU ball caps for avatars? Is you pic not really your dog?

hahahahah

yes their programmers try to make them look real

unlike YOU real people accept facts

you never do

you are not human

Why do you think I'm no...I want you to tell me why you thin I'm a racist...since it would be pretty impossible for me to be one...considering my famiy, job, neighborhood, etc....
For once, don't parrot someone who doesn't have a clue who i am...you tell me why You think I am...If you would, please...;)

We've all seen your thanks on racist posts here, seen the racist jokes you think are hilarious, seen you type in "Ebonics" -- we know who you are. We've never once seen you call out a fellow racist, but you do have a penchant for personal attacks on both black JPP posters as well as on non-white celebrities. Calling your imaginary black students "thugs" is only the beginning. You're the most insidious kind of racist of all, because you pretend that you're not, and are incapable of seeing all the ways in which you are.

1) What on Earth is a "racial micro aggression? and 2) Why is saying that our country is a melting pot for diverse groups of ppl a bad thing?

This is more a scientific article written about racial micro aggression:

Unmasking 'racial micro aggressions'

Some racism is so subtle that neither victim nor perpetrator may entirely understand what is going on—which may be especially toxic for people of color.

https://www.apa.org/monitor/2009/02/microaggression

I've heard it used more as a reference on college campuses. Here's a WaPo article discussing the term melting pot being a racial micro aggression.

UC teaching faculty members not to criticize race-based affirmative action, call America ‘melting pot,’ and more

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ive-action-call-america-melting-pot-and-more/

This is from the University of Minnesota. The third box down under Color Blindness mentions melting pot and why's it's a micro aggression

Thanks. I looked at the last link only. Some of those things are really stupid... like asking someone where they're from. I ask that all the time, since most of the ppl I go to school with are not from here. If someone has a cute accent, I note the accent and comment positively on it and ask where they're originally from, and what it's like there, and what caused them to come here. If those are "micro-aggressions," guess I'm guilty as hell. Oddly, no one so far has appeared to take offense. Those from other lands are more than happy to talk about where they used to live, esp. if you're interested enough to listen and ask questions. Just because you're here now doesn't mean you should forget your homeland and culture and customs. Same with ppl who come from other parts of the U.S.

Microaggressions, or at least the discussion of them, seem to be a big topic on many college campuses (I think it goes hand in hand with topics like safe spaces). I look at a number of things on that list and roll my eyes as well. I think there is a definite generational divide here.

What’s funny here is saying America is a melting pot is a racial micro aggression. And telling people to melt or leave is telling people to assimilate to the dominant (white) culture or get out.

The beauty of America is that anyone from anywhere in the world can move here and become an American. And assimilating is often a big part of that. But if someone wants to call everyone else racist don’t make racist comments about melting pots and assimilate or leave
and anyone can have a bi or multi-racial family...We've heard some zingers....when it comes to "racial micro aggression"....

the identity politics people are dividing and conquering. now taking a genuine interest in other people's lives is a microagression.

fuck this stupidity.

How odd. I have yet to hear any discussion about safe spaces and microaggressions. This is the third college (and is a four-year univ. as well) that I've attended in the last couple of decades. I wonder if these are topics only in majors like sociology? I have taken both soc and psych though and this wasn't discussed. Most of my coursework recently is in the humanities where you would think it would be talked about.

PMalert...lol:laugh:

Yes. Just wanted to make sure that Evince knows who you really are, and not a Russian bot. You're welcome! BTW, PP is very happy with the donation in your name. Thanks for providing sex ed, cancer screenings, and sexual health benefits to so many ppl!

I've spoken with non-white people about this and most of them admit what we all already know. People prefer Nationalism. However, people on this board deny this, so I wanted to give them a chance to defend their position.

I'm honestly sorry that you're still so butthurt about that.

OH, once again you've mistaken amusement for something you feel more comfortable about; because you've been sperging ever since you were shown to be uninformed on gun magazines. :D

Not sure how I've followed this topic but I've read a bunch about it (living where I do near Cal Berkeley it's also in the news a lot), microaggressions and safe spaces. I think for most of us it's not something we come across in our every day lives but it's a hot topic on a lot of college campuses. But it is interesting you haven't experienced it. Maybe it's a bigger deal at some places more than others. As the WaPo article stated it was a big deal for the UC system which may be why I hear more about it.

If you were in a room and there were 10,000 snakes coming to attack and kill you, but 1000 of the snakes were harmless, and wanted you to live what would you do?

Would you take the chance that the 1000 snakes would prevail and save your life or

Would you close the door on all of them and live?

Please point out where you answered.

It's possibly more of a liberal area thing? Most of my school buds here are indigenous ppl, and several are two-spirit as well. When they complain about hurtful comments or events it's generally something racist or homophobic. One of my friends, a very shy young woman, actually tried to discuss being a native two-spirit person in one of her classes. A rude older woman told her to shut up and go to church and stop being gay. My friend was unable to keep speaking to the class, and left. That was more like a macro-aggression. And that bitch better hope to hell she never has a class with me.
