That DOES utterly fascinate me. Doc is such a hate monger and Cypress doesn't really strike me as that. Sure, Cypress is thin skinned as all get out and not as smart as he fancies himself, but he does, like the anosmic pig, find truffles from time to time. His threads promise the most interesting discussions but he, himself, is incapable of anyone even mildly disagreeing with any of his points.

Clearly he's smart enough to read widely, but not smart enough to synthesize the information such that he can discuss it in any meaningful way.

I actually am sad that the guy who quotes the most interesting stuff is unable to discuss it without it just devolving down to him telling us who he's read.

I wonder, at times, if he's possibly autistic or on the spectrum. Clearly he's smart enough to read widely, but not smart enough to synthesize the information such that he can discuss it in any meaningful way.

Like COgoat, Perry is obviously educated, but 1) probably not to the point he claims and 2) his irrationality distorts his ability to reason.

Like BP and her man issues, I think Perry has a problem with anyone better educated or saner than himself.

Russia is arguably the most Christian nation in Europe but a large fraction of their population think it's okay to bomb Ukrainian cities into smoldering piles of ash.

I am a terrible armchair psychologist myself! I am just trying to get an honest answer concerning the single-minded grudge towards only one specific major world religion.

My experience online is that they are either ignorant or mentally ill. In Perry and COgoat's instance, it's probably mental illness. In BP's case, a little of both.

IMO, there's a fear and ignorance factor going on in Russia that's even worse than among American Trumpers.

I believe truth and justice will prevail over lies and hate, but it will take awhile. The whole "two steps forward, one step back" thing.
