This woman saved lives, and I am for her, being properly licenced and her background having been checked, being alowed to carry a concealed weapon.

I am against the whacko gunman with homocidal tendencies being allowed to have an assault rifle.

So how do you KNOW ahead of time that someone is going to go off the deep end and starting blasting? This is the unfortunate aspect of law enforcement. We usually only get to take the gun away from the guy, if at all, during an arrest. But as my numbers point out, guns are used for good in this country FAR MORE than for bad. People get enraged ONLY when a person behaves homicidally. Other than that Guns have a negative effect on society infrequently. Cars kill more people a year than guns...and they are not supposed to kill at all. Hell that is the first prong of analysis in a products liabiltiy suit. Granted they don't usually kill because of design defect of the manufacturer. But the first prong of the test is are people injured or killed by this product that was not designed to injure or kill.

I think I read somewhere that after the first church shooting in Denver they placed armed guards at other churches in the area. But it does boggle the mind that a church that professes to worship the guy that said "But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also" might have a full time ARMED guard.

Cars have to be registered and you are not allowed to use one if you have demonstrated you should not be trusted with a car. I know it would not be perfect, but if we had a system where only people who are deemed mentally stable are allowed a liscence to carry a gun, I belive we sould stop some percentage of these crimes.

Making another blanket statement Mr. Speaker of the Obvious...

At least it wasnt a false blanket statement like somebody else yesterday who said guns were illegal in Mexico...

She was on the Today show today and they said she was one of at least two security guards at the sceen. The other refused to shoot.

She is former LE. I doubt the other was. People don't realize how hard it is to react in such situations.
