Republicans Admit DEFEAT

If she is a low income earner, if she doesn't get a subsidy, she can certainly take a tax credit for insurance premiums when she files her taxes.

BINGO!......the ACA opened the door for the greedy insurance companies and said, "Dinner's ready!".........

Well Jeebus, GOD forbid that Insurance Companies do what's RIGHT for their clients once in a while.

On the other hand it's nice to see you finally acknowledge the ACA wasn't responsible for people losing their policies, but rather, greedy insurance company tinkering with people's policies that did it.

here is something I discovered this week......my daughter graduated from college and is trying to get into graduate school.....she cannot be included in my plan for free because she is not a full time student......we sat down and registered her for the ACA.....because she is working part time as a waitress she earns around $14k a year......she qualified for a subsidy.......but wait.....the application asks if she has student loans.....yes.....deduct the payments on her student loans......this brought her under $11,400 a year.......wait.....now her insurance is $211 a month?......something must be wrong....spent an hour and a half on hold with the government.......yes....its true.....in order for Obama care to help her with insurance she has to earn MORE than $11k a year or she doesn't qualify.......

Tell her to suck it up and get another job.

Oh, and tell her to stop whining and take responsibility for her problems.

Isn't that what you want everyone else to do?

So the insurance companies all get together and plan this right when the law takes effect. You're brilliant. I bet you want to Harvard.

You got a premium increase every year...just like everyone else in the country.

Now, if you don't understand why $11,4000 is more than $11,000, perhaps you should read your original post and tell us what the hell you were talking about?

And...full time student status has no bearing. I'm sure she qualifies for Medicaid, if you wanted to go that route.

1) I got no large increases.....certainly not the increase from $683 to $1134 I got this year (that's not counting another $211 to add my daughter.
2) don't be silly everyone understands that $11,400 is greater than $11k....I just didn't feel like typing out $11,400 again.....and I don't have to tell anyone what I was talking about.....you all know what I was talking about....its just that you would rather talk about $11,400....
3) an employed person with no dependents living with her parents?......I'm pretty sure she doesn't qualify for Medicaid....

given that the ACA IS responsible, I'm not quite sure why you came to that silly conclusion.....

/whoosh......the wonderful ACA, intended to provide help to the uninsured.....cuts off funds for those who earn too little after eliminating insurance that they already had......great plan, Dems....keep up the good work....

You can repeat that over and over and it's not going to make a difference.

The INSURANCE COMPANY altered people's policies AFTER the ACA became the law, this makes the INSURANCE COMPANY responsible when people's insurance no longer met the requirements.

If you want to cite numbers, you're going to have to tell us the differences in the coverages you have now.

And you can't simultaneously portray your daughter as poor, and living under your roof at the same time. So which is it? If she's living under your roof, let her pay the supposed $200/month for her own insurance.

Is that a catastrophic plan? She's eligible for one.

Now, why don't you start with your old deductible vs. your new deductible. After you tell us if this is an employer based plan, and are you citing your new out of pocket as per your new deal with your boss?

Well then, your original comment made absolutely no sense w/respect to the subsidy.
