this faux outrage is laughable....the same people who are 'outraged' here probably (99% sure) never said boo about the liberal rag times using the term....

Whether Obama is offended is not my worry. He is a politician. He sold his soul a long time ago.


But the "they do it too" argument is a bit weak. The fact that some people do not pitch a fit unless it is the opposing party is really not an issue for me.

Robert Byrd died in the 60's, it just took congress a while to figure it out. And despite his party his state is VERY right wing.

Jessie Jackson is pretty much offensive to everyone I think.
Biden is the king of foot in mouth.
Untill a few months ago I did not even realize Ferraro was still alive wither.
Gas station ghandi? Goodness gracious I had not heard of that one.

I think you should send Congress a letter and explain Byrd's death to them, because I think they believe, as do I, that he is still alive. You see, it's the whole 'serving in Congress', taking the floor and speaking, and running for re-election thing... it kinda gives the impression that one is alive. While we're at it, we may want to check the pulse of his VERY right wing constituency, who continues to re-elect a left-wing loon who consistently votes with the Democrats.

Whether Jackson is offensive or not, is not the question. I find most liberals to be offensive, but are they all "racially offensive"? Specifically, is Jackson? And the answer is YES. Likewise with Biden's comments, Hillary's comments and Ferraro's comments. They were racially offensive, regardless of the 'excuses' you want to throw out for them now. You see, when you are given the examples from your own party of what you are chastising Republicans over, it's a never-ending list of excuses and explanations. Here in the 'real world' we call that a 'double standard' and it's not really acceptable unless you are a hypocrite.

The phrase you are all so appalled by, "Barack the Magic Negro", was coined by an LA Times journalist. Now Duhla doesn't consider him a "racist piece of shit" because he is a liberal, or maybe because he drank from the same Fountain of Redemption as Robert Byrd, or perhaps he is black like Jesse Jackson, and therefore exempt from racism? But for whatever reason, the guy who came up with this pearl of wisdom, is given a complete pass, while you proceed to bash and trash all republicans as racists, whether they even listen to Rush or not!

You know, I think, once you are that far out of your minds, there is no way to get you back. You are just beyond hope.

It's funny... Dictionary.com doesn't say a thing about "Negro" being a "throwback to segregation" and I don't recall it being the term used back then either. Seems to me, it was "colored" which was in vogue for segregationists.
