Ron Paul all over I - 95!

Just shows the types of supporters he has. Any other candidates supporters doing this type of stuff to any degree ?
Yes. It does. It shows that much of his supporters are young and do things that others would consider foolish.

This was something we used to see for Dean out here.

I have to disagree with you usc. Freeway blogging is a pure expression of free speech, and true grassroots democracy. That's why I left the banners up, even though mine have been shown no such courtesy. They are entitled. I only wish the war mongering scummers out there would come to the same belief, but they feel the only free speech is their speech, and are happy to hang their bs all over the place, but rip down any sign of dissent.

It's not foolish, it's great fun! Some of the biggest laughs my friend sue and I have had, came from doing this. You should see some of the banners we have come up with.

Actually covering signs would be foolish. I haven't seen that anywhere.

Freeway blogging is a regular passtime in the Denver area.

You are more of a rebel than I am Darla :) I am just too conservative....

Damo, Is Dean in this race ?

And the more I rebel, the more rebellious I feel, it becomes like an addiction. There is no telling where I will end up, but prison is probably not out of the question. ;)

No, he was in the last one. I am sure you remember.

It was a way to show that it is more likely the age of, rather than the "type" of supporters he has. A ton of Dean's support were young college kids. The same appears to be true for Ron Paul.

Why do you have to attempt to protect your precious liberals from all things you think are bad when you pretend to be an independant?

Still Illegal I think though.
Don't need any more distractions while putting on makeup, driving and chatting on the cell phone.

The origional post
"On my way to work on I - 95 this am, someone had placed RON PAUL signs over all the road signs. I am sure they are down now, but thousands saw them!"

No, it isn't illegal as far as I know. People hang flags, signs, etc from the overpasses and bridges.

Yes, but I don't live anywhere near I-95 and stated that I hadn't seen that anywhere.

I do not doubt the veracity of his remarks.

Darla explained what freeway blogging is. I explained what I have seen. You insist on attempting to make it so that Ron Paul should be arrested or something. I don't get what you are on about.

From what I have read, as far as hanging things from overpasses (freeway blogging) it differs from county to county. There could be an ordinance against it, in other words, depending on where you live. And I think if a cop wanted you to stop doing it, he could claim it is littering or find something. But I have never checked, because where I live, the cops have better things to do, and what's even rarer, they actually know it. I've never been bothered. Even if they wanted to bother you, I think the most they would do is ask you to take it down and stop.

Also, even if you are in a county with an ordinance against it, with all of the "Welcome home Private" so and so banners up, if the cops ever messed with political or peace banners, it would be so obviously selective enforcement.

Umm that is part of the highway right of way. and I know it is illegal to post any non approved sign on any interstate highway right of way.

Maybe in your area. As far as I know it isn't illegal. You constantly see "Welcome back, Cpl. Johnny." Or "Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Newlywed!" hanging from an overpass here.

It is a part of the interstate highway system Damo. States must agree to the terms under the federal highway system. There could be a few exceptions here and there, but generally a basic set of rules associated with interstate highways exist. Limited access, No horses, signage rules, etc...
