It was much more expedient to simply fabricate stories (Obama is coming for your guns), and attack every issue that their own obstructionism created.

The concept started with Gingrich.

It's interesting that their minions don't demand a platform and some goals for the good of the nation. Apparently obstructing progress is goal enough for the Party of Nothing.
