For the bulk of US history people voted without ever showing an ID. Your outrage is so blindingly stupid and false. I never have shown an ID to vote. Not here in NM and not in conservative Kansas.
 
Maybe because the D/L is expired and they did not realize it after having waited in line for two hours.

it would seem to me that if she had been driving around since her birthday without a valid license the least of her worries was how long she had been in line.....

in my voting precinct we show id....even though I know the polling volunteers by name.....(by the way, for the bulk of US history there were no such things as driver's licenses).........

And somehow it worked? They must have just been smarter then, that and they didn't have to worry about dark faces voting and screwing it all up.

Here in PA we're ID'd when we register and give proof of citizenship. I wonder if conservatives ever spared a thought about voter ID until repubs started with the scare tactics.

Expired DL is not much of a crime. Lots of ways to defend it however. Improper stop, was not driving, it was not truly expired, the officer used the wrong form, speedy trial rights violated....

And if those don't work a smile at the prosecutor will get it dismissed...
