BTW, I think it's wonderful that 60% of Jewish kids in NYC are now Hasidim, in a few generations New York's Jews will be poor, idiotic, and mangy.

I have no idea what you are getting at. Main gun regulation we want is limiting capacity and other factors to control the danger on the populace. We want the same limitations the gun crazies lived fine under during the Clinton years. The race bit is protections so you can't hire or not based on race. That goes the same for a white person going for a job in a black owned company. It doesn't happen often that way but we still need it there.

My point is that the Democrats have staked the ground on limiting freedom just like the Republicans have done with abortion and homosexuality, specifically gay marriage. Both parties are becoming more and more authoritarian.

Consider your topic: guns. They're just a tool. Millions of gun owners, including yours truly, have never had a problem with them. There are two main problems: the #1 cause of death for American black males ages 15-34 is homicide. No rocket science needed to figure out how they died. Is the problem genetic? Guns? Cultural? IMO, cultural. The easy path is "ban guns!!!!", but the harder, truer path is to find out and resolve the cultural issues at work without turning it into a "race thing". Same goes the other main killer: domestic violence.

People like Nikolas Cruz, James Holmes, Adam Lanza and Jared Loughner were well known to have mental issues. Why wasn't something done before these nutjobs committed mass murder? Why weren't they helped? Instead, your solution is to ban AR-15s and let the nutjobs switch to running over people with cars since no gun-banning liberals put Mental Healthcare as their #1 solution to the problem.

I said "one of the few places" the red carpet was rolled out for overt racism. I did not say it was the only place that cherishes overt and completely out in public racism. Yes, I am aware that overt and open racism is acceptable at right wing protests, et al.

I see it differently....it's way more than a few places............. more the opposite......it's very few places where overt racism doesn't harbor toxic racism, and that's being generous.

I guess you have to be on the receiving end of racism to understand.

We can't just stamp out that this country was built on racism.

The definitions of words matter. Overt has a very specific definition.

I am aware of the more subtle, but no less insidious, forms off institutional racism, covert racism, bias, and prejudice which exist in this nation, while also recognizing my gender and skin color prevents me from being as profoundly cognizant of it as POC

As one who has spent waaaay too many years on this board we all know Legion is a troll and has trolled for years. He went through a phase where he trolled as a liberal. We all know this yet people continue to respond to him and start threads about him. If you know someone is a true troll and you don't put him on Ignore then that's on you.
