Stupid and profane. You got it all. Tarrifs are paid for by consumers. When a product is manufactured in China or another country, and an American needs it, he buys it from China. China passes the tariff costs along to the consumer.
Do you have, and I kid I know you do not, have any idea what is required to start a manufacturing company from scratch?Americans would be paying higher prices for years. That is inflationary. The corporation would be looking for another offshore location if we put a tariff on China.
