I'm sorry man. When my son was diagnosed with melanoma, a friend of his was diagnosed with it at the same time, but they caught his earlier. He was eligible for what was an experimental treatment at the time, and is still alive today. This has been a few years.

I am not trying to dampen anyone's spirits, I am only telling you my experience. My son had the same thing happen. A mole was removed, and shown to be stage 4 melanoma. They then excised a much larger area around the mole, and three lymph nodes, all showed no cancer. He was given a clean bill of health, no follow ups were scheduled. A year later he began having headaches and vomiting. The cancer had come back. Please tell your friend to be vigilant with doctors, and INSIST on follow up scans at regular intervals. I wish her all the best, I wouldn't wish this shit on Domer.
He's already like a trained dog for me. He challenged me to come to Orlando where he said he could take guns he claimed I shouldn't own. When I accepted,, told him I had already planned on being there for other things, and let him know I'd give him the date when plans were finalized, he put me on ignore.
He said he was responding in kind because of hostility the op demonstrated towards his mother. I take him at his word, you don't have to. I wouldn't have written that post, but then no one has shown hostility to my Mother.
