Stern socks it to Trump supporters

If it wasn't Presidential why did she do it Nordberg? To be non presidential, dishonest and to lose. That's not a good record.

She made one statement that was turned nearly criminal. She did it after at a Trumpy rally a nutcase attacked a protester. That was reprehensible. That was despicable. Trump on the other hand name calls every damn day. He is disgusting. I wonder if we will ever return to information politics instead of divide and conquer with insults and lies, lots and lots of lies. The Trump rally clown show was not America at its best.

Stern, in many ways, is as brash as Donald Trump- BUT WITH A MAJOR DIFFERENCE- HE'S HONEST.

Stern is sometimes too honest for his own good!

But that's OK, I'll take an honest person any day over a Fake and a Phony like Donald Trump who can't be honest at anything-ANYTHING- EVER!

Stern is also naturally funny without having to try and fake that either. He is a natural clown and that is why he is so beloved by most people!

Donald Trump is also a clown where everyone tends to facepalm or BARF!

There's such a tribalism to all this. It's like if you vote for someone that person is a member of your family and if you insult that person I voted for you've insulted my family and I am going to defend my family. Once that is the mindset you lose all objectivity. And it's no different if you didn't vote for someone and thus it doesn't matter what they do you are against it.

And look at the board for instance how people gather in teams almost and defend each other because they are on the same team. It's a tribal mindset. When you follow politics for a long time and see multiple administrations from each party come and go and start to recognize each side says one thing when they are in power and something different when they are out of power you recognize this is all a game. Thus why people spend their time screaming and name calling at each other on here, wishing death on each other, wanting to country to separate etc.

I mean I can be as partisan as the next guy and I've called people names so I'm not sitting here holier than thou, and to each his own, but on the whole it's not for me. It's why I tune so much out these days because I can't take it.

Yep. Exactly & well said.....hats-off-salute-smiley-emoticon.gif

I have seen the same rationals, by the same ppl, on both sides of any argument........ Literally parroting arguments they opposed not long ago....

I posted a few threads here & DCJ about this very thing but no one was interested in reading them~gee, I wonder why  ...lol

To your last point people love to call out the hypocrisy in others but don't like to see it or discuss it in themselves. So not surprising at all people don't want to be shown contradicting themselves.

No, it's not surprising...

I believe the big motivator for many is in just not wanting to be wrong~yea, lots of ppl take themselves that seriously.....

It is you who refuses to learn ....and it takes a whole lot of effort to resist reality to the degree that you do....why do you do it?

And yet I don't hear any concern from Dump Trucks (aka Trump supporters) about that long awaited tax audit to end so he can do what many preceding President's have done and turn over their tax returns before taking office for public scrutiny against conflicts of interest. Seems YOU never learn....P.T. Barnum was right.

There wasn’t a majority winner in ‘92, ‘96, ‘00 or ‘16. So again, you’re free to rail on the system but we all know the rules ahead of time. And I’m not following your last part. You’re saying it’s bad someone wanted to just win the EC, not the popular vote, when the EC decides to winner?

And what did I previously write? See the highlight on the above. All you are doing is repeating what has been rendered a moot point while stubbornly refusing to acknowledge what I say is valid. Your cavalier attitude only works if things don't get seriously bad for you personally. Well my friend, it's getting closer....and I for one just hope my fellow Americans wake up to band together to change the system before we're all screwed beyond repair.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you even in 2000 and 2016 when the EC winner didn't win the popular vote, the popular vote winner didn't receive a majority of the vote. I could be wrong but I always thought they called it winning a plurality. In '92 and '96 Clinton won the EC and popular vote but he never won a majority of the vote in either election.

So if the key is someone winning a majority of the popular vote we have had that in only three of the last seven elections.

Cut the crap, Wack…..you're just being insipidly stubborn. Obama won BOTH …. TWICE. If the electoral is not in sync with the popular, that means that the electoral college is NOT doing what it was designed to do...which is represent the majority vote of it's state. We've had documented cases in the last 60 years where that has happened. So whether you like the winner or not, the "contest" is flawed, if not outright rigged to some degree. Why you are trying to split a hair on this is beyond me. The relationship to the OP here is that Dump is being derided by a shock jock who has given him audience on numerous occasions and states that he's okay with Dump so long as he would NOT be in office. Calling Dump Trucks (Trump supporters) idiots is a moot point AS DUMP HIMSELF STATED HE DIDN'T CAMPAIGN FOR THEIR VOTES. A kick in the chops that, but Dump Trucks will eat crap and call it ice cream before admitting such.

Either we are talking past each other or about two different things (i'm not trying to be adversarial just for the sake of it). I'm well aware Obama won two elections and the majority of the vote both times. I wouldn't think that an issue in question or doubt. Look at the '92 election where Clinton won with 43% of the popular vote. That's nowhere near a majority. You call it splitting hairs but is it wrong?

So take away the EC and make it an election where a candidate has to win a majority of the overall vote and we've had that only three times in the past seven elections.

 "So take away the EC and make it an election where a candidate has to win a majority of the overall vote and we've had that only three times in the past seven elections." No shyte? My point for the umpteenth time is that is the way it should ALWAYS be. And people should band together to force that change. Hell, it the GOP can be rough shod by the Tea Party, why not BOTH PARTIES by the people for a better election.

I was responding to Nordberg, not you. And since I don't follow you outside of a direct exchange, I don't know what you individually said on anything...nor do I care if you're not going to make a declarative or definitive statement. Now, if you're a Dump truck griping about his bogus tax story but still support him, that's so much more to pity you.
