The Dothan Police Department Juvenile Investigations Division received a complaint of an inappropriate relationship between a student and a teacher.

The Dothan Police Department worked in partnership with the City of Dothan School Administration and the Child’s Advocacy Center to ensure the safety of all children.

Investigators have arrested and charged 30 year old Robert Leslie Lee, of Baywood Drive, with School Employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student under the age of nineteen.

Due to the sensitive nature of this case, no other details can be released.

PALMER PARK, Md. - Prince George’s County police have arrested a 22-year-old elementary school volunteer for producing videos of young victims performing sex acts on school grounds during the school day.

Etowah County authorities say a teacher has been arrested for being "sexually involved" with high school students.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin said Kayla Lynn Hodges, 31, of Anniston was arrested today on four counts of a school employee having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19.

Matthew Graves, 38, is charged with distributing matter portraying a sex act by a minor.

He allegedly used the Kik app to send pictures of young children in sexual acts numerous times in December 2014, according to an arrest report.

On the arrest report, Graves' place of employment is listed as Kentucky Country Day School. The school's website lists him as physical education teacher.

The report said Graves also received child pornography from another Kik user.

Graves admitted to detectives to conversing with the other Kik user and sending the pictures, according to the report.

A 40-year-old California high school teacher was arrested for alleged sexual relationships with at least two students — and his 22-year-old girlfriend may have had sex with one of his victims, too.

Gary Bettencourt, an English and drama teacher at, and his substitute teacher girlfriend Devyn Egan were arrested Wednesday.

A teacher resigned from St. Joseph Academy after he was found with a gun in his back pack Wednesday.

The Diocese of St. Augustine said Grady Heiss, a science teacher, had a gun in a back pack.

Heiss was placed on administrative leave after the gun was found, but then he resigned.

When News4Jax contacted Heiss he didn’t have a lot to say, except he had a great run as a teacher and now he's done. Heiss had no other comments.

Kathleen Bagg, Director of Communications, Diocese of St. Augustine said about 330 students attend the school.

Bagg said no children were in danger and that Heiss had no intentions of using the gun on campus. She said it was poor judgement for the gun to have been brought on campus and that it goes against school policy and state law.

Heiss has been an employee at the school for almost the past decade.

Bagg said school officials are not sure how the tip about the gun was made, but the sheriff's department was called and deputies came to the school to follow up.

A teacher from a tony Manhattan prep school took a plea deal Tuesday for having sex with a 16-year-old student in the bathroom of an East Village nightclub.

Léman Manhattan Preparatory School teacher David Azurmendi, 34, pleaded guilty to statutory rape, sexual misconduct and child endangerment in exchange for 10 years’ probation. He’ll also have to register as a sex offender.

“He has accepted responsibility for his actions, and he is going to move forward with his life in a positive manner,” said defense lawyer Sanford Talkin.

The married father of two, who used to teach health at the ritzy $43,000-a-year school, admitted to having drinks with the teen student at Lit Lounge on Second Avenue.

He and the girl ducked into the bar’s bathroom, where the two had sex, according to the criminal complaint.

A day care teacher at a center in New Jersey is under arrest after authorities say she abused four children all under the age of 2.

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal announced the arrest of 28-year-old Shara Goldstein, of River Edge, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and child abuse.

Police say that the Woodcliff Lake Police Department learned that the New Jersey Department of Children and Families was contacted regarding an allegation of children being abused by one of the teachers at KinderCare Learning Center on Chestnut Ridge Road in Woodcliff Lake.

Clarence Edward Evers Jr. faces several charges including production of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, accessing with intent to view child pornography and foreign travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual contact.

Federal authorities arrested him Thursday at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen. According to the Conecuh County School Superintendent, he was a classroom teacher.

Jonathan Brecht has been charged with possession of child porn. He teaches seventh-grade math at Seneca Valley Middle School.

His 1.5-terabyte hard drive had been half-filled with photos, but he deleted them before his police interview, the criminal complaint said. He acknowledged to police that some of the photos "might" depict naked children. Police forensics later found pictures of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, Brecht used Skout.com — a location-based website and application for meeting people — to pose as a 24-year-old woman known as “Lexi.” He used the profile to have a sexually explicit conversation with a teenage girl, who sent Brecht photos of herself and told him she was 16, according to the complaint.

During the conversation, Brecht asked the girl if she wanted to meet for sex, police said.

A Facebook profile with Brecht's name and a photo of him in a classroom lists Toys R Us under past employment.

A teacher at an all-boys school is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student and taking him to Oklahoma without his parents’ permission.

The 16-year-old boy’s father contacted police about the alleged relationship after he saw his son’s computer with Facebook messages from the woman.

Authorities say the relationship evolved when the two started messaging each other on Facebook and watching movies at her apartment.

Police also say the two sent each other sexually explicit photos.

Then, during winter break, the teacher allegedly took the teenager to Oklahoma.

According to the affidavit, “the victim’s parents were unaware that the suspect took him to Oklahoma.”

She was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child, unlawful restraint and improper relationship between a student and a teacher.

A 41-year-old Stockton high school teacher was arrested on suspicion of sending sexually explicit messages to two 15-year-old students, police said.

Officers arrested Matthew Teeters on multiple felony charges. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

A Preston High School teacher has been charged with selling heroin to someone cooperating with police.

Jennifer Karen Cook, 37, of Bruceton Mills, was charged by West Virginia State Police with delivery of a controlled substance, a felony. She was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court and posted $25,000 bond.

According to the criminal complaint, Cook, 37, sold “a quantity of heroin” to someone working with the Mon Metro Drug Task Force.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Jeanne Michaud, a math teach at Longwood’s Lyman High School, is permanently banned from teaching.

Police have charged a middle school teacher with assault after she allegedly smacked candy out of the hand of a student.

Anita Lemay, 52, of Manchester, is charged with simple assault, according to police.

Police say they were called to the Southside Middle School on Jan. 29 for an incident involving a 14-year-old student and a teacher.

Nicole McDonough, of Mount Olive, pleaded guilty to a second-degree official misconduct charge before Judge Stephen Taylor at Morris County Superior Court as part of a plea deal that spares her jail time.
