An Iowa teacher is facing charges after he is accused of stealing medications from multiple students.

Doug Wilkinson was arrested in connection to missing prescription drugs at Holmes Junior High School. Wilkinson is an English teacher.

He’s accused of stealing medication from at least five different students, including Adderall.

Security video shows him taking pills from the nurse’s cabinet.

A local teacher was arrested yesterday on charges that include kidnapping and child abuse.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Gregory Johnson of Tallahassee was arrested by Leon County deputies and charged with one count each of kidnapping, child abuse, and intimidating or threatening a witness or victim.

Johnson is listed on the West Gadsden High School website as a science teacher at the school.

A Port Washington substitute middle school teacher was arrested and charged for allegedly sexually abusing two of his students.

James Servin, 51, of Manhattan was arraigned at the First District Court in Hempstead with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching and second-degree sexual abuse.

Law enforcement officers in Wichita have arrested a middle school teacher for alleged sex crimes with a child.

Terry Couch was booked into the Sedgwick County jail shortly before midnight on two charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Couch is listed as a physical education teacher at the school.

A Florida middle school teacher had sex five times with a 14-year-old boy she taught and appeared naked in photos on his cell phone.

Stacy Lynn Hooks, 38, admitted she had intercourse with her student three times and engaged in oral sex twice in their five encounters.

A Texas teacher was caught having sexual relations with two underage students when one teen told his dad about the sex after learning the educator had gone on a “hike” at a secluded park with another boy, authorities say.

Haeli Wey, 28, was fired from Westlake High School in Austin and arrested this week on the felony charges for sex that began back in August, police said.

Wey had sex with that teen, a friend of her family, some 10 times after meeting at a student ministry program.

Miami-Dade Schools Police Department arrested Jason Meyers, 41, on allegations of an “inappropriate relationship” with an underage female student.

EL PASO, Texas — The U.S. Marshals Service is looking for a former Texas elementary school teacher whose sister and brothers were charged in a murder-for-hire plot linked to drug trafficking in Juárez.
Monica Velasco, 42, was indicted by a federal grand jury. She is wanted on federal charges of conspiracy linked to racketeering, drug trafficking, money laundering and conspiracy to kidnap in a foreign country.


Last fall, Velasco’s sister and two brothers were charged in connection to the 2008 murder of a man and his two daughters in Juárez. "She was an elementary school teacher, a quiet lady and I guess she got wrapped up in all this with her family," said Deputy Scott Williams of the Marshals Service. "She's afraid of going to jail, but her family said that she is more afraid of going to Juárez."


In January, the U.S. Marshal Service’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force nearly captured Velasco at a home on Safford Court in El Paso’s Lower Valley, but she left before deputies arrived, a U.S. Marshals spokesman said.


Velasco was a teacher at Thomas Manor Elementary in the Lower Valley. In September, she abruptly quit her job and moved out of her home on the West Side, the Marshals Service said. That same month, Velasco's sister, Dalia Valencia, and her brothers, Emmanuel and Samuel Velasco Gurrola – allegedly part of the Velasco criminal enterprise – were accused of kidnappings for ransom, extortion, auto theft and drug trafficking. The three siblings pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to go to trial in September.

A kindergarten teacher in Upson County is behind bars accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old.

Jennifer Lynn Robinson, a 47-year-old teacher at Upson-Lee South Elementary School, was arrested on charges of aggravated child molestation and child molestation.

Police say the incidents occurred at various location within Upson County between July 1, 2015 and February 21, 2016.

Robinson is currently being held in the Upson County Jail.

An elementary school teacher and drama club advisor was arrested for allegedly downloading child pornography, according to officials.

Thomas Guzzi, 36, of Pitman, was charged Friday with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography.

New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted the arrest at Guzzi's residence.

Federal authorities monitor file-sharing websites known for child pornography and traced multiple downloads to Guzzi, according to Peter Aseltine, spokesman for the Division of Criminal Justice.

Authorities seized two laptops, a mini-computer, a desktop computer, three iPads and two phones, as well as external hard drives, Aseltine said.

Indiana teacher arrested with meth in class


A Southern Indiana elementary teacher was arrested Thursday at school, and authorities said she had drugs with her at the time of her arrest. Laura Nowling, 47, a teacher at Austin Elementary in Scott County, was booked into the Scott County Jail on charges of possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.

Nowling has been an employee with the Scott County School District 1 for more than a decade, the district said Thursday.


Sgt. Jerry Goodin with the Indiana State Police said no students were present at the time of Nowling's arrest, and he said the school district cooperated with the investigation. He said authorities had earlier searched Nowling's home and had found drugs, including Oxycontin, Hydrocodone and marijuana. He said two people were arrested at Nowling's home: Harold Kemp, 42, and Zackie White, 31, whom Goodin described as friends or acquaintances of Nowling.


Goodin said police then went to Nowling's work after learning she was possibly in possession of a controlled substance. "We're hammering a lot of drug dealers and drug users in this county the last four or five months," Goodin said Thursday. He said Thursday's arrest was fairly routine.

A Springdale teacher has been arrested for rape, according to a preliminary police report.

John Russell Ross Jr., 35, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Division.

Ross told investigators he performed oral sex on a 14-year-old girl. He also confessed to performing digital penetration of the minor and masturbating himself to the point of ejaculation on her stomach, according to the report.

The report also states that the 14-year-old girl was highly intoxicated and had passed out.

Rodney High School wrestling coach Richard L. “Dickie” Howell will be sentenced in April following his guilty plea to sexual abuse charges.

Howell, 51, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust or authority and three counts of fourth-degree rape. The plea negates the need for a trial, which had been scheduled for March 8.

Howell could be ordered to serve between six and 120 years in prison when he is sentenced April 26.

A Naugatuck High School teacher has been arrested for weapons charges in connection to a domestic violence incident.

According to Naguatuck High School’s website, Harte, teaches a career exploration class that prepares students with job searching skills like resume writing and interviewing.

He will appear in court for the weapons charges on March 14, and for the domestic violence charges–which were transferred to a family relations officer instead of the general judicial system–on April 21.

A teacher at Life Way Christian School in Centerton is at the Benton County Jail after he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

Richard Thomas Riley, 34, was arrested after the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Division began investigating sexually explicit messages and nude photos that were exchanged between Riley and a 16-year-old student, according to Riley’s probable cause affidavit.

The teen was interviewed by investigators and told them she sent nude photos to Riley and had sexual intercourse with him on several occasions at his home, the affidavit states. The teen said the sexual intercourse was consensual and the two were in an exclusive relationship, according to the affidavit.

A 24-year-old teacher at a Central Texas high school has been accused of having an improper relationship with a student.

Officers arrested Montana Davis — a business information technology teacher at Mexia High School — at her home, according to a news release.
