Tell me: Am I frickin' Dreaming?

It also proves that we weren't judging you by the 'cover' (your voter registration) but by what you say and do.

Very true. I could technically register as a Socialist and can go around saying I'm a Socialist. Probably wouldn't take long after I open my mouth to realize that it isn't the case.

So far I am voting for John Edwards. He is clearly not the perfect canidate, but he is the best running. Senator Clinton comes in a close second.

I think Obama has showed his lack of experience over the past couple weeks in his battles with Senator Clinton. It was amature to say he would pledge to meet with the rogue leaders of forign nations within his first year. He could have given a much more responsable answer like, "I would have an open mind to meeting with them under proper conditions and circumstances."

On the Republican side there is not a canidate I have yet to find that would be acceptable. I however would like to learn more about Ron Paul.

I'm voting for Edwards too, so far. Ron Paul I know enough about, scary.

It's good to see you around Jarod!

Thanks, Im just taking a well needed break.

I have another trial starting Monday.

Whats scary about Paul?

Specifically what policy is scary. I like many libertarian ideas.

Thanks for the well wishes.

The economic part. He is a lunatic, in my opinion.

I would not wish to live in the country he would create.

But what about his economic plan is scary? What would he do? I really want to know so I can form an opinion.

He is a radical libertarian.

Good luck with the new trial.

Despite his percieved radical views, one thing I like about Ron Paul is his understanding that he may be wrong. He understands that the will of the people is important and he wouldn't just implement the policies that the majority of people disagree with. He would do his best to cut back government and I know spending bills would be vetoed over and over until the pork is cut. I would be willing to bet a balanced budget within his 2nd year, without much change in the way things are in society.

Hmmmm....now that's odd.

If I had said half the things this GOP Prez candidate said, topper (and other closet rightwing Bush fans) would have been on here skewering me for being a cuban communist, and a class warfare poser.

Maybe if I just changed my registration to (R), I could get away with talking about standing up for american workers, without running a guantlet of "socialist!" insults from topper and other closet bush fans.

No. If you also were keen on closing the borders and disallowing amnesty you could get away with talking about standing up for american workers.

But what about his economic plan is scary? What would he do? I really want to know so I can form an opinion.

Jarod, do you understand what a radical libertarian is?

If he could get any of this through congress, and he could not, but if he could, this is what he would do:

Elimiate the income tax and the irs.
Eliminate SS
Eliminate Medicare
Eliminate Medicaid
Eliminate child welfare
Eliminate section 8
Eliminate any and all social safety net programs
Eliminate labor laws
Eliminate labor regulations
Eliminate business regulations

You should read about him specifically, and libertarians in general. Most of them are out of their freaking minds, ron paul is literally bug fuck nuts, and if you can't see it in his eyes when he is talking, you should be able to.

there are many libertarians who are not radical, and actually have some humanity in them, he is not one of them.

WE really need a social libertarian... BADLY!

Not if it comes in the same package as a economic one, and am I mistaken or is Mr. Libertarian ron Paul, anti-choice, I believe that he is.

We can have a social liberal, sounds delicious to me.

Nothing wrong with a liberal.
