But doesn't rioting and looting just make them look bad, thus helping the Republicans? The rioting took attention away from the murder of George Floyd and made it acceptable to condemn the protesters.

Each Group (Right or Left) think their Vision is the best one for the Country. The common denominator is that they have given up on 'voting'.

There are many 'forces' at play in these 'Demonstrations'. I have no idea who is behind 'Antifa'. I'm simply pointing out one faction as an example.
I'm sure each Group thinks their Agenda will lead to what you refer to as a 'Utopia'.
Personally, I support reforming the Police.

But doesn't this theory, that some left-wing person or group is funding Antifa, not really make any sense?

Well first of all, I don't think Antifa has been involved in the rioting.

I think the rioters and looters are just angry black people who want free stuff.

Yeah, I'm familiar with Antifa and their history. I just don't believe that they're being funded by anyone and even if they were, it certainly wouldn't be for them to riot and loot.

Antifa is just a diverse movement of people who fight violence with violence.

I still haven't been given an answer here. Why would old hippies be paying Antifa to riot and loot? Doesn't that just help the Republicans?
